How could you not feel happy for the Sharks? Blackwood was amazing and helped the Sharks win this game. I am happy for the Sharks and was rooting for them for the past few games. It seems silly to celebrate a team winning one game but it’s nice seeing a team that has not won actually win. I don’t see the Flyers as a horrible team or the worst team, they tried as hard as they could but the Blackwood was just too dominate.

Only 2 meaningless wins last season cost the sharks the best chance at # 1 overall. That is how I can not feel happy. If it was rigged for the hawks to win the draft anyway would make me feel slightly better though as some imply.

San Jose should release one of their goalies to a better team. Like they could trade with Edmonton cause they need a goalie bad and San Jose would need some offensive/defensive power.

So im not saying defence is any better but both teams need defence so what they can offer to the other team is sj has good goalies and edmonton has better offence.

So they could do that trade and then Edmonton could search better defence from other teams. But for Edmonton offense is their bargainin tool atm.

To be fair, Oilers were dominating the Nucks early on in their game last night. It's just that Demko was just too good. Then, Oilers completely unraveled and the Nucks dominated them afterwards. If the Sharks can weather the storm early on against the Oilers (Blackwood will have to be amazing like tonight), then Sharks have a chance as McJesus isn't himself these days.

They're a better team than what their record says and are going to destroy the Sharks easily, but you can't expect to win when your defense and goalie are garbage. Canucks don't just have Demko, they have Hughes and Elias Petterson who both have 20+ points in 12 games.

@@ninenine2438 Actually, Canucks don't just have Demko, Hughes and EP. They have the 4th league leading d-man scorer in Hronek, the 2nd highest goal scorer in Boeser and a top 10 scorer in Miller and another top 40 scorer in Kuzmenko. It's like the Nucks players all decided to play to or above their potential this year. And I agree, Oilers should be a much better team. Had they scored a few passed Demko the other night (pretty hard to do these days), it would've been a much closer game.

No matter how terrible the Sharks are, beating Philly is in their routine. Dating back to before the 2005 lockout, the Sharks have gone on a 25W, 3L, 2OTL, and 2 tie run against the Flyers. It’s poetic that they gave them their first win.

It’s always a lot less full during weekday games. The upper deck, cheaper seats are generally fuller than the more expensive lower deck seats during the weekday games as well. So it looks more empty from the camera angles. Weekend games it’s nearly full no matter what. I am so upset I wasn’t there for this game. I was at the last two and just couldn’t make it to this game. Hopefully I will be at the next couple.

It’s a bloody miracle!!! Fans needed this, and they definitely needed this. Now if you could also do this to Edmonton…. That would be great. They really need a new coach (which won’t solve their problems, but I’ll keep them distracted from their real problems) They need a complete overhaul, and that will only happen if this season is a complete loss

As a hockey & Bruins fan, it hurts to see your seats empty. Unfortunately, that's happening all over the place now. The ticket prices are off the freakin' wall. The only reason why teams like the bruins sell out is because they sell so many corporate boxes & tickets. But this is the time for you to celebrate! No NHL team should go that many games without getting rewarded for their hard work! I got home late from work, after a long day, I took a minute to sit down and look at the scores - and I came alive again when I saw the sharks were ahead in the third period. Ran to put on the game! It appeared to me by the time I was watching it, hockey game broke out during a fight. Hey, whatever works! A win is a win Mad respect to fans whose colors don't run. ✌️
