necas really playing well....skei is the x factor in hurricanes playoff run in my opinion...hes capable of games like this ..underated offensive skills..and now with guentzel ...scoring should go up..and great to see anderson in net..hes much more consistent than any of our other goaltenders

Josh Roy scored a goal tonight, he should be on that PP1, could’ve replaced Newhook. That 4 on 3 power play for MTL was so frustrating. Goalie has no stick for most of it and the Habs could not get a decent shot on net, St. Louis almost never plays the hot hand. Leafs on Saturday at the Bell Centre.

Skjei's best game of the year and Looooooooord let me tell you it is soooo good to see Freddy in net again that 4 on 3 with no stick was a hell of a welcome back for the Giant Dane. Canadiens were a couple of unlucky bounces away from keeping this game from going to OT. Great game to watch, wish I could have been there.

The Syzuki lined was -8. Slafkovsky is a heavy weight to lug around game in and game out. He was on the PP for over 6 minutes but finished the game with 1 shot. Roy would ge 8nfinitely better...he WANTS the puck. Over the last 5 games he has 1pt and -6. He skates around in his own end mindlessly with one hand on his stick allowing 'Canes players a free ride to the net! It would appear Slaf's uninspired effort is acceptable as for as MSL is concerned.

How is Roy better? Slaf has a higher PPG over three times the games Roy has played. And that is even though, recently, sure Slaf slowed down, but watching him play and the fact he sits out trainings, it seems he plays through a minor injury, but even so, Roy is 2 (two) points on him over last 10. I would let Slaf rest maybe, one or two. But even still, Roy was a bit lucky that goal went in, with a bit of luck Slaf could have easily had 3 assists tonight. Heavy log.. look at Jarvis breakaway, its not defensemen chasing him down after Suzuki turn over but Slaf. You opinion just seems biased as hell.

Point 1 - Slaf is playing with the Injury atm. Point 2 - It's not easy to be a shooter in a line with Suzuki a Caufield, who are really shooting a lot by themselves. Someone has to feed them. Point 3 - See the advanced stats for this match a take a look at who has the most passes to high-danger chances (pxG). (it might be surprising, but hint, his name begins with S and ends with "lafkovsky") Point 4 - He could easily have 2 primary assists this match, Andersen's posts were against it. It's nothing against Roy, he is a talented player. I just wanted to add some context.

I've NEVER been a fan of obscure fancy stats. I let my eyes be the judge of how someone is playing and the LEGITMATE stats confirm or deny if they are lying to me. Slaf is a fat -20 and it's easyto see why. He's a huge, soft, perimeter player with no passion. He gets a hell of a lot of PP TOI and he has only 5g and 5a. I would give someone who can handle the biscuit an opportunity. You guys love him and that's great...I don't. He can't do anything on his own.

Slavkosky is a plumber and nothing more. I have no clue why they think he's some offensive threat... I noticed guys aren't passing to him if they can..😅 They look at him but choose other options if possible.. That's why Suzuki is doing better in points lately. Slavkosky couldn't even make the Laval Rocket and im dead serious

I just imagine the defence Montréal will get with Arber, Mailloux, Struble and Reinbacher plus plus! This year another big pick for offense, they will be a lot better in a short time, than the poor Canes, I am not impressed, with their Kotkaniemi and many of the other pityfull team of the NHL, like the Coyotes, . Montreal will be back with a vengeance, when all set and done.

As a montreal fan, I always want my team to win but I have to say than it was a great game for the tanking. A lot of great scoring chances that were stop by nice safes or that hit the post and no major defensive breakdowns/bad goals. It changes a lot from some of the other games of this season 😅
