Erik Karlsson definitely had a “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!”moment tonight with that awful miscue. Gotta give Simon Holmstrom credit for pressuring him into coughing up the puck and immediately putting it in the net.

Yeah, the Islanders won again, in OT, after blowing another multi-goal lead in the third period. This is not a playoff team, unfortunately. When it comes down to the tiebreaker, the very first one is regulation wins. Right now, the Islanders have just 16 regulation wins. We talk about the number of OT losses they have. But they also have so many games, like this one, that they won, but should have won in regulation.

Love watching barzel handle the puck, he's got great skating ability with the puck, east to west, north to south, smooth as silk.

Another failed attempt by dufas to improve the team.He did same thing with leafs.He had alot of cap space to reshape the team around sid but sign malkin letang reaves and then karllson. How hell he going to fix the mess he did looks like pens wont be making playoffs for next 4 years what a mess 😂😂😂😂 great job dufas

Stick a fork in them, they are done. Resigning Malkin and signing Carlson was the "death" of this team for a long time. That money should have been used to get some younger decent players. Going to take them many YEARS now to rebuild. Will see if Crosby wants to stick around or retires at end of next season. Even he knows he won't get another Cup with this team.

WTF? 20th February & the Penguins are losing at home to rival's NYI, YET their advertising next seasons 2024/23 season tickets on the half-board advertising strip. Am I tripping or does that play as a smidgin negative??? To me it reads that they ( the pen's org) thinks this season is almost played out!! AM I reading it wrong or some-it?? Congrats to this season's Isles on the win!!

Every team starts advertising for the next season midway through the current even if the team is one of the best teams in the league. The Penguins aren't in a great spot right now but a lot can change in the last month and a half or so but from a marketing perspective it's a great idea to try and plan ahead

Malkin has been playing like a 3rd liner lately. He knew it was a bad change. I watched him since 05 and he’s declined sad to see he was one of top players …age ig

Had a good night tonight....3 great plays along the wall and robbed on two blasts. Terrible linemates all year. Still has a shot at 70 points on a team that doesn't score. It's been a down year but most Pens have had down years.

Hand the captaincy to Karlsson after that brutal miscue that immediately led to a goal? You have to give Simon Holmstrom credit for pressuring him into coughing up the puck though. Karlsson is one of the best defenders of this generation and Holmstrom made him look like an idiot.

@@kobyschechter8163 Heck yea!! If not Karlsson, then who? Malkin and Letang are literally running on fumes and won't be of much use to the team in the years to come. Karlsson is younger, and still serviceable.

@@jamaldee2355 Jarry is playing well but this isn’t a Playoff team, and haven’t made it out of the first round for years even if they did make it. Why the Pens brass think having the oldest team in a younger, faster NHL will work is beyond me. Time to start the rebuild, send Sid to a contender.

*Remember Pittsburgh could've won this one if it weren't for Karlsson's and Graves's screwups that led to two separate goals? They may have gotten a point at the end, but one point is not going to help them with their "outside looking in" situation.* In other words: "Ladies and gentlemen, your 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins."

There have been pushes from the league and tv stations to make broadcasters more or less impartial over the years. I personally have gravitated more and more towards the biased hometown casters myself.

💩💩💩Pengoons lost to the Kings about 2-3😁😁😁😁 days ago. Tonight they lost again to the Islanders. Both games at home. Pengoons will not make it to the playoffs this year. LOL! 😁😁😁😁😁! Pengoons are in 7th place in Metro with 56 points. They are nowhere near wild card. We are just 9 days away from March. But hey at least we still have 2 more months of hockey left. 😄😄!
