He has no issues putting up points in just about every game in the regular season but very few in the playoffs. I love the Leafs but Matthews is a typical American player. He doesn't care about winning on a Canadian team. Matthews is amazing but doesn't put in near the effort in the playoffs.

Matthews in great position has the amazing quick shot off his stick when he is in total control, for his amazing ability to control the puck from another teammates pass often said enough, in each game! He is definitely a great leader all around & almost has 30 goals in the regular season as the Christmas break is about to be underway! Jones playing terrific as a goaltender for the Maple Leafs.

To say that Matthews and Reilly have 37 blocks and 66 blocks respectively is again some sort Comedy Central routine. These people do not sprawl on the ice like Guy Carbonneau used to in his defensive role. They just got in the way as pucks are forever being directed toward their net. Reading the comments below is humorous. Matthews will never win a scoring title he is not a complete player. He is not a consummate play maker and he is weak defensively. A + 4 is nothing to brag about when you play every power play and have 28 goals. That means he was on the ice for 24 goals against my friend. He can score goals and he may win the Richard Trophy but he will never win a scoring titles...NEVER.

The thng that bugs me about Simpsons commentary is he tries to point out what they did wrong, but I feel like he makes stuff up. FOr example Nylander's goal.. he claims he made the goalie flinch. He made the goalie flnch? Or he'l make comments about what little intricate mistakes that the goalie may have made, but it's either really obvious or just incorrect, like he's just making stuff up. I really wish you'd find a better hockey guy. I dont enjoy listening to those old guys bumble through the games. Reson I complain publicly is you guys keep him and think he's good? Sportsnet's pretty bad compared to TSN anyways . But unfortunately you guys have the rights to the hockey games I wanna watch.. so can you put a bit more effort in?
