To South Floridians/miami people. I am very curious.. Are the panthers somewhat popular in Miami/SFLA, or are they hardly talked about? Is hockey really a niche sport?? I know they're not more popular than Dolphins or Heat, but pls tell me they are more popular than Marlins or Inter Miami?? Please, at least tell me hockey is more popular than soccer there. Is this the right order of popularity in Florida?? 1- dolphins, 2- heat, 3- Marlins, 4-Panthers, 5- Inter Miami?? thx

Dolphins, Heat, Panthers, Marlins, IM. Panthers gear shows up in multiple areas of south florida from Miami to Stuart North of Palm Beach..Panthers run to the SCF helped a lot, the lower bowl is sold out for season tickets. Most games have 18,000 people in it even mid-week. Its the hottest ticket in town next to the Dolphins.

thx doctorcane, didn't expect that at all. I thought they'd be dead last cuz it's florida and no ice or cold there. Not a traditional hockey market. Plus with Messi there, i thought soccer would KILL hockey now. I was in Sunrise in 2004 and i swear to u, we got 2 tix for 5$ each from scalper for 2 games. (habs and pens), and the arena was 80% empty for both games,. we snuck down to the 2nd row all game.. and 80% of fans were cheering for pens and habs. Glad to hear it's picked up. @@doctorcane

Panthers have been seeing much better turnout since the start of the decade, especially after last year’s play off run. They usually sat near the bottom of attendance for a while in the NHL, but have had an average of about 95% turnout over capacity since then, which is better than some other teams. But also, Amerant Arena is actually one of the biggest arenas to host an NHL team, and will often have 18,100 in attendance during big games, which can actually be more people in attendance compared to other bigger teams that can only fit less than that. People like to meme that Florida has no fans, but evidently the numbers don’t really show it, so it’s funny when I see people claim that. Compared to other sports, I’d say the Marlins are prolly a bit more followed. Amerant Arena is in Sunrise, FL, which is about a 45 minute drive from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. I work down the street from the Arena in Sawgrass Mall, but there’s not a lot to do there for fun, which I think contributes slightly to the Panther’s low attendance. The Heat and Marlin arenas are located within metropolitan Miami, where you should expect more attendance. And Inter-Miami, honestly no one hardly spoke about them before Messi arrived. They were the talk of the town after the NHL season ended, but once IM didn’t make the playoffs, I hardly heard anything about it. Once their season starts up again, I anticipate it’ll rise in popularity again, because cmon, it’s Leonel Messi 😂

Do ppl watch them there too, or are they basically just a S.FLA team?? And 2- The TB lightning are another FLA team that has been very successful and fun to watch.. Cousins tried to go for shoulder contact, I highly doubt it was intentional. I agree that it was a hard-ass hit, and that the boarding call is warranted, but calling em dirty right after Guddy jumped him outta nowhere is funny. It's hockey - you're skating faster than you're able to stop, your landing hits on other players, that's 101. But Gudbranson legit lost the game for BJ, should’ve just stayed cool and expended that pent up energy on shooting the puck.

@@Bernadette2456 I've watched hockey for 20 years. I've seen this stuff happen thousands of times across the entire hockey league. You are allowed to body check an opponent who has possession of the puck, which Gudbranson had. Cousins unfortunately hit him back of the shoulder which sent him straight into the boards. What would be a dirty play is if Cousins checked him without possession, then I wouldn't be telling you this. Most boarding pentalties I've seen called are hardly malicious in intent. You're skating 20mph on open ice, obviously you are prone to big injury. This ain't flag football. But again, calling FL dirty when poor old Guddy just couldn't hold back and straight up attacks a player out of nowhere just shows your hypocrisy.

@a-money7044 listen up I am 66 been watching Hockey 🏒 since I was 7 that's 60 years, I've played Hockey I've saw Hockey when there wasn't have the body gear the players have on Now. I am also Canadian and believe me I know my games Florida Panthers and Montreal Canadians are the dirtiest team in the NHL. I really don't want to argue about My Canadian Game, with that being said God Bless and Merry Christmas

It was a rough hit, there was a penalty assessed, but Gudbranson’s response was the dirtiest play this game has seen. I won’t argue it anymore if you don’t want to though, Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I kinda feel bad for the dressed up soldier guys who fire up the cannon every time Bluejackets scores, dancing and gloating in front of national television, only to lose most of the games at the end lol. Not making fun of them I'm really not, it's just that seeing them dancing and all happy after firing the cannon and all, and knowing the Bluejackets record, I know that they prolly go home sad at most nights despite all the dancing cellys

По игре видно что у жакетов нет в команде сыгранности. Хорошие игры чередуются с невзрачными играми. Огромные провалы в обороне. Лайне вообще потерялся. Его атакующие действия равны нулю. Пантеры финалисты прошлого года очень не плохо смотрятся в регулярке. Если и дальше так будут играть, могут далеко пройти в плей-офф кубка Стенли.
