Man… this is rough times for the Bruins. Boston had a significant advantage in possession and scoring opportunities during the 1st period, but still managed to reach the first intermission trailing 3-0. The booing from Bruins fans at the end of this game is justified. This Bruins roster has been awful during home games this season.

lohrei is very talented handling the puck in the offensive zone. the rest of his game, especially his D, is a nightmare. he belongs in providence for a long stretch to get his head right.

@@Bruins-vq5ey stop the video at 1 41 and ask yourself -- how did these two Bs Dmen allow this guy to get behind them ? stop it as the CBJ forward hits the red line. lohrei is just now turning to skate forwards and catch the guy. why in god's name was he skating backwards from the CBJ blue line to center ice ? that is how the guy got free -- lohrei didn't recognize the guy getting behind him until it was too late. now stop the video at 3 04 and see which guy lohrei chooses to cover. he doesn't really ever cover the guy in the slot and he still allows the guy to hit the net uncontested. swayman looked bad on this goal but lohrei could have chosen the puck carrier. on the third CBJ goal it is a 3 on 4 rush and lohrei gives the puck carrier all the time and space he needs to make a cross rink pass that sets up the goal. then we have the SH goal that was all lohrei's. notice on the CBJ break for this goal that again lohrei didn't get either the puck carrier or the scorer. monty likes his Dmen to cover open ice rather than actually checking opponents. he thinks he can play it both ways but actually they cover no one.
