Jets have made huge improvements in keeping the opposing team to 2-3 goals per game nice work

Jets really looking like they can win the Central division, and that's without their 40 goal scorer in Connor. Villardi already has more points than Dubois, and he missed 4 -5 weeks. Ehlers in my mind is really an 80 -90 point player if he gets the ice time, which he is now, with Connor out. He'll average about 1.25 points per game. Leave him on that line when Connor returns, and lets see what Nik can do. Jets could win the Cup this year, Vegas is the big hurdle they have to get over.

I think ehlers would move down because kc is just a better ehlers. Vilardi provides what ehlers can’t with a bigger body that can hold on to pucks and is great in close

@@TheMemeBorrower.the defense is pretty fundamentally garbage. our goaltending is average, reimer actually had a pretty good game. our offense is having some regression back to the mean right now as well

@@TheMemeBorrower. personally I think it’s more than goaltending. Overall defensively they are brutal. It’s crazy how they are still one of the highest scoring teams in the league. However they don’t have any depth.

The league needs more Gabe Villardi,s...point a game, plays 200 ft as good as any, goes into the rough areas....and is an absolute bargain, especially this year. Next season at 3.4 ,he is still a good deal. For the price of Toronto,s top line, you could get 9 Villardi,s. This year, you could get 30 Villardis, plus 2 Villardi Goalies.......

Yes, the Damage caused by Ken Holland and the resulting mess left for Stevie Y is still evident. But I believe in the Stevie Y plan. This team is far far better than the one left by Holland. Edmonton will find the same, the far reaching effects of the Oilers mess will be even worse. imagine trying to deal Nurse away with that contract. Imagine being stuck with him until his contract expires. Or paying a Bakersfield goalie $5 million per season. Be patient, It's coming together. They are learning to win now.

If you think Kane is the reason why we’re losing your delusional,he came in right at the time we started getting not healthy ,cause that is our problem when we were winning games we were healthy you know .Kane has actually been one of our best players since his debut believe it or not ,but he’s created a lot of good scoring chances and has had a lot of assists ,so ya he’s not the problem and he still needs more time to Really get going he’s only played what 8 games now.yzerman signed him cause he knows he can bring a lot of depth,talent and skill to the team And he was right.I still believe they will make the playoffs cause how good they started there season,thats why yzerman said we’re not focusing on drafting this year we gonna try to make a push for the playoffs and the Kane signing was the right call .debat me all you want but you won’t be right on anything you say.once we get healthy again and get our rhythm and identity back I’ll prove you wrong.

@@RobertWhite1 I don't think it's Kane's fault that as soon as he signed on, Compher, Larkin and Perron all got injured/suspended, and now 2/3 of our starting goaltenders are out week-to-week as well. It's just bad luck and timing. He's been a force and pretty productive since signing on.

I agree that’s why I don’t believe they’ll miss the playoffs cause I think they’ll get there rhythm and identity back when they get healthy again.I’m not panicking,we are still right where we want to be ,only down by what 1 or 2 points from the wildcard.I don’t think were in this position last year around Christmas. Anyone want to know why the goals have been going up the last couple of years? Just watch this defense. It’s a typical NHL defense. Zone, not man to man. The better team s are better at it , but it is still terrible. I just watched the 2012 Stanley Cup finals. Now that was defense. Same with Boston in the 2011 finals.
