As an Avs fan, this was a tough game to watch. We had our chances but seemed out of sorts. Couture's second goal right after we tied it really deflated the crowd, and the team. That guy is quietly great.

What's funny is the game 6 2-1 ot win against Vegas was their first win when scoring 2 goals or less, meaning they never won a single 1-0 or 2-1 game this season. On the other hand though as you mentioned they haven't lost a single 1-0 or 2-1 game, so I guess that Vegas game was the first time this season they saw 2-1 on the scoreboard at the end of the game this season. Very strange situation.

Is it just me or are these teams never evenly matched? It seems that in 10 minute intervals the Sharks are all over the Avs, but then in other 10 minute intervals it's the other way around and it never seems like a constant, even battle.

I think it is more the Sharks get tired and a bounce/pass here or there is the cause.The Avalanche were lucky to score that second goal at all. Even one of the Sharks said they should of scored 3 or 4 in period one of game 2 and only scored 1.I think the Avalanche were lucky the Sharks did not score more in game 3. The Golden Showers were a much better team than them no offense to them.
