My brother made it to the Minors when he was around 23/24, he worked his ass off since he was 6 years old to become the best he could at goaltending. I remember going to all his practices at 5 am and the smell of the rink and equipment :) He never got to sign a professional contract but said he'd do it all over again just for the people, players, teammates and coaches he got to meet and learn from, not only on the ice but the lessons off the Ice that helped him alot to progress his life. Hockey is the best.

It's crazy , it's almost like these players are characters but with tremendous skill. The only guy I've known was Matt beleskey and he had an ok career . It's like they were meant to have God given talent .

You're telling me he didn't work hard. People plateau at the certain level and can only get better you good to a level. The Crosby's , McDavid , all have natural given talent to make it there. Yeah they work hard but it's almost given as long as they keep up the work.
