Goalies are not actors lol... As a goalie myself, there's nothing more awkward then being asked to let a kid score while LOOKING as if you're trying to save it and to not make it too obvious... It's really more difficult than it sounds. On one hand, if you do nothing, it shows... but if you pretend, you risk actually stopping it lol... You could see Brossoit felt bad about it. The worst is if the kid goes five-hole... You have to kind of "time" your butterfly perfectly to let it pass without actually sitting on it lol.

I went to middle school with a girl in Andover MA who is family friends with Ray Bourque. in 2014 we had a joint boys/girls practice and he came to shoot and skate around…nowadays I play goalie against a few ex college guys and I played some prep school hockey in high school…I’ve never felt any puck come off of my chest like I did at 12 against a 50 something year old Ray. Makes you remember why some people pay for ice, and why some people get paid millions to play on ice 😂

Where I grew up the put up public rinks to play hockey on and we we would go there and just throw a sticks in a pile in the middle of the rink and pick two captains who would than take turns just pulling out sticks and throwing it in their pile and thats whos team you were on. We were literally kids playing with grown ass men/dads.

As an Australian- you could do a video of 5 year old Canadian kids making me look this bad. When I was living in Canada I was learning to skate(poorly) and a 4 year old kid came out onto the pond with his dad to practice and the kid literally skated circles around me backwards, puck handing. He was being so cheeky- didn't say a word, just the look on his face. His dad and I were in hysterics

To be fair, so was Toews, also a pro player, 20 years older and 100+ lbs heavier showing off like a d-bag at a busy U10-12 camp w zero on-ice awareness. He slammed on the brakes and slightly leaned into it. If you've ever coached kids you know how to absorb those "hits" so no one gets hurt. If their was a Camp MVP Trophy I hope that Toews got it, he was trying harder than anyone else.
