Smith was the engine for that line and his vision and intelligence elevated Perreault's stock. He and Leonard are going to see drops in production this year without Smith's elite vision. Plain and simple.

Gabe is a terrible skater and relies on an elite set up man. He's a 2nd round pick without Smith and Leonard.

I watched 10 minutes and had to turn it off. This guy barely did anything. I’ve seen him in games too. He just seems like a guy who plays with top players. His shot isn’t elite, his hockey sense isn’t elite, his speed and acceleration are mediocre. He makes some nice passes but he’s on a stacked team and stacked line. He’s going to be a disappointment in the NHL. He looks like a kid that would get bent over in prison so he’s gonna bend in the league when the big boys crush him.
