Had it been a random Tampa fan saying it, I would agreed with this. Tampa fans are honestly a bunch of fairweather idiots that don’t know sports (that extends past hockey too), to be perfectly honest. Gifted a championship hockey team built by Stevie Y, the greatest QB of all time for the Buccaneers, and arguably the best analytics team/baseball GM for the Rays, and they still don’t know shit about any of those games. But Kucherov’s a champion - and an important player on that team, not a relatively unknown fourth liner by any means. Like it or not, the floor is his to say whatever he wants. And that’s coming from someone that loved the underdog story of the Habs and the passion that their fans had this year. Chirping is a part of hockey, and he was shitfaced - of course he’s going to say something like that. It’s harmless compared to most of the stuff said by hockey players.
