Looking at the Vasilevskiy dang-it it almost looks like he stopped going down because he assumed that McDonagh had got it with his stick, but instead McDonagh's contact just knuckles the puck. It looks like he got caught cheating assuming a rebound would likely be coming rather than a slight deflection on the shot.

Well, Tampa is yet to lose consecutive playoff games since getting swept. Part of the reason is that Vaselevskiy has a GAA of less than 2 after a playoff loss. So in theory, the Bolts will clinch the Cup tonight.

You haven't played hockey because it happens quite often. Players are extremely strong on their sticks when an opponent approaches, you can't lift anyone's stick without putting a lot of force.

The rule when playing Tampa Bay... Always have 3 men back and 2 men forward in the second period. Just look at all the times the defense pass it through to their forwards coming off the bench. You can try to score with the entire team swarming during the first and third periods... but you will be punished if you be nothing short of a brick wall in the second.

Give the Islanders credit. The Islanders are the best forechecking team in the NHL and their relentless hitting and pressure caused the turnover that one game 6. The Dang-It should have been on the shorthanded goal the Islanders gave up as their achilles heal the pp not only failed to generate shots in the series it gave a goal to the Lightning.
