A couple of years ago, Carl Hagelin of the Caps had an own goal shooting most of the length of the rink when the Cap had pulled their goalie because of a penalty. That might be one of the all time outstanding own goals. Sincerely, a Caps fan.

A couple dang-its from the Oilers game against New Jersey for next week's edition of Steve's Dang-its: Blackwood going down with an injury during an Edmonton power play, and the first shot Vanacek faced in relief goes in, if I am not mistaken. Could also be a hat pick courtesy of McDavid's no look pass to Draisaitl for the goal. The Oilers giving up 2 goals in a 7 second span in the final 4 minutes of the game, and lost.

I have a suggestion for next weeks DANG-ITs video. James Reimer jumped out of the crease to try to get a puck, then the guy who had the puck passed it to Alexsander Barkov who had an OPEN LOOK?!?!? He got a goal on the POWER-PLAY with an open net. Thats a DANG-IT for sure. As Steve would say "IF YOU'RE A GOALTENDER, TEND THE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!". Outside of the NHL, on the Finnish Mestis (2nd highest level) a player got penalized for celebrating the goal he just made. He went behind the goal and pointed the net like refs do. Apparently that's "disrespectful" towards refs. HOW MANY TIMES PER SEASON DO YOU SEE THAT PENALIZED?!
