Nedeljkovic needed the own-goal to start his Goalie, HOW? hat trick: an own-goal, an assist (two minutes later), and a fight. Even just getting an assist and a fight (technically offsetting two for roughing after the line brawl but worth counting) is rare. He is the only goaltender to accomplish all three in the same game.

That Nedeljkovic own goal is going to be one of the biggest dang its of the decade. Maybe all time. He had to swat the puck past 2 attacking players bearing down on the net. That play never had more than a 5% chance of success, where success wasn't scoring a goal or saving a goal, but just getting the puck to your own teammate.

I like how there was almost ZERO contact from any bruins player on the ice and it was ruled a no goal because of goaltender interference so it had to be the stick touching MAF, but then the Caps challenged a goal because a players stick was between Vanaceks legs while he was trying to move over and that wasn't goaltender interference Like.... what?

The Ducks' goal in Game 5 of the second round in 2017 counted despite Kesler trying his best to slow down Talbot by pressing his glove into Talbot's pad, yet the Sharks lost a goal to goalie interference when it was the Calgary goalie's own player who took him out. And Craig Smith was definitely in the crease. If there's a dang-it it would be on Steve for saying that the interference was on Charlie Coyle when it was Craig Smith that was in the crease.

The goal is immediately waved off. 3/4 of the replays on the Jumbotron show the puck going square into the net, 1 shows the puck seeming to bounce off the left post. Of course there’s a scrum after and after and officials go to the box to confer. After a discussion they come out and say, “there was 3.9 seconds left on the clock and no whistle was blown. The period is over”. As they’re saying this, 3.9 seconds is added to the board and immediately winds down.

(For non-American Football fans, Matthew Stafford is the quarterback for the LA Rams who just won the Superbowl. During his 12 seasons witht he Detroit Lions, he averaged 1 interception for every 1 Touchdowns. Most quarterbacks are closer to 1/5 ratio, so he is very inconsistent.)

Surprised I didn't see the Tolvanen goal from pens-Preds where the pens blue line completely misses the puck & almost runs into each other

I feel like Mrázek just needs to find his fun again. I was a great goalie a few years back, than the last 2 years became absolutely dreadful to watch because everyone was upset with me (including myself) and I just didn’t know how I’d gotten so bad so fast. Then the last month I watched Fleury play and leached off of some of his energy and joy and wouldn’t you know it, I made save after save with a big smile on my face. Talent and practice is obviously needed to become a great goalie, but having no fun and motivation isn’t fixed by kicking someone to the curb. But that’s just my experience, people tend to differ.

the comic timing on "what are you doing?" is almost as funny as the event that follows it. (also, Steve, no need to ever explain "dang its" at the top of videos again, just roll this clip)

In my opinion, Bergevin's own goal is even worse than Nedeljkovic, because it was in the playoffs. St. Louis was very good that year, and if I remember correctly, they had finished 1st in the West (which was no small feat). I don't remember how the game ended, but the Blues lost the series, in first round on top of it. If we take out the context though, they are fairly close!
