The NHRA game from ps2 was so better. The new game doesn’t even remotely compare to how good that games was. There was amazing customization and tuning. Definitely disappointed how nhra handles the license. The gaming studio who produced it isn’t known for amazing games.

There hasn't been a good Drag Race game since the 90's with Bethesda's Hot Rod Championship drag racing. You could import YOUR actual engine specs and tweak real world data from Dyno 2000 into the game and use YOUR real car dynamics in the game. I had my game car duplicating my real drag car and I could try parts on my game car before sinking money into my real car. Racing the AI was incredible and online was a blast. I begged Bethesda to upgrade the graphics to keep up with the graphic advancements and the loss of 3dfx Voo Doo cards as there was zero problems with the game itself. What we got was the IHRA Motorsports game that looked more cartoonie than the first game and they NEVER fixed the bugs.

I remember I was addicted a hole day to a drag racing game on mobile. It was 3D. It was fun to click exact time to start. And the loud sound and speed! I learned about the timer. It had 3 different values. My first time playing a dragracing game.

Man people LOVE to complain… this looks great, the play is just fine, the detail is good.. it would be a flop if they made you run on road courses, but this accurate enough. Want to wait another 15 years? Enjoy the wait! Dont forget, patches galore will be coming out soon enough

Update: got this on the switch and will prob get on ps4… i like the portability on the switch for travel, but id bet the pressure sensitivity makes better sense on ps4. Overall, not bad at all, the sounds could be a touch more refined, controls on the switch controller are a little clunky, but ill gladly enjoy this in my game library as a drag racing fanatic.

@@Bobbarker23455 exactly! Even the classic NHRA games werent perfect! I have all of them for PC, PS, PS2, PSP … each one got progressively better, this one is the most beautiful though. Its a game! Sure, it could be as realistic as GranTurismo or some of the nascar games, but im happy enough with it. My only gripe is no pressure sensitivoty on the nintendo switch. Idk if its any diff on ps4, i’ll find out later.

Hey bud I got a question for ya about NHRA game. I’ve tried looking some things up about my problem but can’t seem to find anything to help. I see your a KZbinr and I was wondering if you could possibly help me out with something. I’m currently in pro mod on my career and I can’t do a burnout car just stops after I press the gas and I can’t do anything after that. Is that a game issues or a setup issues? Or am I just doing something wrong?

I am the physics programmer for that game. And you know what input/requirements we got? None. I'm French/Dutch. I don't have a driver's license because bikes exist. NHRA is so American, it makes zero sense to us. But we do what we can. I talked with NHRA in person. What are your Pacejka parameters? Can't tell. If you want a redneck game, just don't ask a European studio to develop it, ok... We can't invent Drag Racing. We can't drive. We shouldn't have been hired for that.

If they would have made the street outlaws game this detailed and simulation like they probably would have made millions. The street outlaws guys don’t even play that game. They play no limit drag racing g on their phones. If this had Ryan Martin and kye Kelly I’d buy it today. Just not too into nhra but ina huge street outlaws fan. I might have to try this game anywys. It looks like exactly what I always wished they would have made the street outlaws games. They should find a way to make a street outlaws NPK version of this game. I’d buy it in a heartbeat and I’m pretty sure many more would as well. This game is an embarrassment to the Nhra, ps2 graphics are better no customization at all really, not even all the tracks are on there, you don’t get a season mode like in real time, I haven’t seen a car I went against go over 300 mph in funny car or dragster, looks like an iPhone game, the controls are touchy asf. That’s just some of the things they need to work on

Been sim racing and real racing for more than twenty years. More than 2000 hours a year on just one racing game. Racing is life for me. I'd have to take a hard pass on this one. It's like the people that built the game never even worked on any car, much less raced one of any class. It's embarrassingly bad. I'd be pissed if I shelled out fifty bucks for this game. I wouldn't even pay twenty bucks for it.

No cars other than Top Fuel Dragsters and Top Fuel Funny Cars go over 280 mph. Your Pro Modified car is doing 299. The record for a Pro Mod car is 261 mph. This game is screwed up already.

Got this on the Switch - I'm not too big of a fan of the throttle being like an on/off switch with no pressure sensitivity. Can anyone tell me whether the PS4 version allows for pressure sensitivity? For example, when i do a burnout, I want to be at 1/4 or 1/2 throttle, not full throttle or NO throttle... Also, is the split screen available on PS4? i may just get it on the system and keep the switch version for when i travel.

The worst thing about this game is the ai, they are literally 1 second slower than you, you never lose unless you crash it gets boring very fast, I don’t know how they overlooked such a simple concept of making the opponent a fair match

@@XLFORCE The biggest issue with this game is that the cars run the same times regardless of track so they’re the same in Arizona as they are In Indiana. They should patch in some customization for power due to variances in track temperatures, weather and elevation that would add a lot more depth to it.
