WOOOOOOWWWWWWW single handedly the most informational video I've watched since purchasing maschine. Routing individual sounds into FL or Logic seemed to be the only way to be able to sequence for lengths of time proportional to workflow, and I exclusively use maschine for a plethora of reasons. Should've watched this months ago, you god send!

It can be interpreted in a couple of ways but i think he means to say that there are multiple reason he only uses maschine software. If this is the case then the grammar is fine.

Ok, I have subscribed but...where do I start? This video is way advanced and takes for granted that the viewer knows what you are talking about and has an already advanced understanding of Maschine workflow and knows all the shortcuts. I don't and judging from the questions below, I'm not alone. I keep trying to find the video packs (here and elsewhere) that explain workflow in simple consise terms...from a novice view. You are obviously a pro at Maschine but are way above my head. Other people's videos are either too advanced or completely disjointed. Can you point me in the right direction or make a recommendation? To me, Maschine feels non musical and is like trying to speak with an alien. Thanks!

+Juven Maldonado Having the same issue. Seems the easiest way to do this is to create another PATTERN (i.e. pattern 2) by COPY?PASTE the contents of PATTERN 1 then delete and add MANUALLY. Yes, it's a drag, yes it suck, yes NI should add ways to better music composition, but it is what it is. If you have a better way please share away.

Good video. Im a little confused on scenes & patterns. I don't fully understand them. Like I don't get the correlation of scenes/patterns & their lengths. Does the scene length have to match the pattern length? & when I'm making a drum pattern for instance, how do I know what length to make it so it flows well? Im all over the place with understanding scenes & patterns
@TDTMFM7 жыл бұрын
I'm new too, but I believe that a scenes length is based off of your longest pattern. U can extend a scene, but it just plays the longest pattern longer. Most patterns are 4 bars in length. It's best to stick with that rather than creating an 8 bar pattern. U can duplicate the pattern if you need to make things longer. It's easier to manipulate a 4 bar pattern in an arrangement than anything longer.

i have a problem with my new maschine 2.3 upgrade...when i add a limiter the sound just changes and sounds distorted and grainy...unlike the old maschine limiter..but when i turn the limiter feature off...the sound of my beat sounds just fine but it peaks and clips...do u know how to fix this??
@Adsrsounds9 жыл бұрын
Trap Beats & Cartoons ★☆ You can try the new (transparent) and old (legacy) modes in the limiter effect. I find the transparent mode to be perfect for my needs - a slight increase in overall volume while preventing clipping. Try to eliminate clipping before adding the limiter and see if that helps.
@arcademcFLy9 жыл бұрын
***** i did that and when i put it back to legacy mode...the beat sounds worse for some reason...is the limiter the only way you can lower the volume without clipping???

@Adsrsounds9 жыл бұрын
Prince Butler You have to fill the patterns entirely - your scenes are as long as the longest pattern, so make sure that pattern loops well and the scenes should loop well, too.

Question: lets say you were to record this in full as a whole beat. wouldn't the certain scenes selected just continually loop itself since you're manually changing to the different scene? how would you go about recording the final beat to put out in it's final form and have the scenes go from one to another without just looping the scene currently selected over and over again? sorry if its a dumb question, im just super new and super confused about loops.
@jlittlefield14028 жыл бұрын
step 1: hold the scene button down and do not release until after step 3 below step 2: select the start scene (whether this is scene 1 or not is of no importance) step 3: select the end scene
@seldomjoy9 жыл бұрын
how do you make scenes independent? like i want to repeat a scene but slow down the pattern with out it effecting the 1st scene
@CM-dq1yy9 жыл бұрын
+Yung Childs you have to make second pattern for that
@seldomjoy9 жыл бұрын
+chris moye so you can't copy a patter?
@CM-dq1yy9 жыл бұрын
you can. You press pattern + Duplicate and u pick the pattern u want to duplicate and click pad u want to duplicate it too.
@CM-dq1yy9 жыл бұрын
but if for your second scene you want it to be slower than the 1st, then u just have to make a new pattern and put in the notes at a slower rate because no matter what the song will always be at a specific BPM or time signature

deinrene amazanhall just play it and don't quantize it. Or turn off the grid snap by clicking the hash key symbol on the pattern editor so it's greyed out and you can draw off grid notes
@AD-rt1ny6 жыл бұрын
Also, select whatever midi content you want to shift around by highlighting it, then hold shift + nudge and use the wheel to slightly drag the selected midi content to the desired location. This works especially well with making high hats behind the beat and many other effects like that.

I made a sample in maschine using massive. But I'm trying to start the sound low and gradually bring it up higher but I'm unable to figure out So simple yet so frustrating, I know that on my mk2 I can hold down shift + auto and move around the master volume nob on the massive file while recording and it will save. I know there's more ways to do so but I'm hitting a wall I can't get around on my own. On ableton you can just go to the volume envelope adjust how you prefer. But it's just that simple lack of knowledge I'm missing on maschine any help out there? Thnks
@Adsrsounds10 жыл бұрын
infamousd You can do this a couple of ways. You could use the amplitude envelope (ADSR or AHD) in the sampler, or go to sampling mode, then edit, and then do a fade-in. Check out my video on editing samples. I would recommend the amplitude envelope method because it is non-destructive.
