Site 230 on the bluff is my favorite. Nice & level with some privacy.

Next time up state, camp at Long Point ,the one in the 1,000 islands. It is small,so quiet, can handle any size rig,and has waterfront sites.on Chaumont Bay. Not near any tourist traps either. No designated swim beach yet campers can swim anyhow. Not a party spot either for the young guns.

I think I have been there, Many many years ago. The River area is better than the Lake/1000 Islands area. Way too many crazy people. Something about power boats I think...LOL Thanks for the comment. STOP BACK ANYTIME !

Alright thank you Rick, was thinking of going back to the falls. Last year took the hotel route but this year camper van.

This is a nice park, and a camper van would be a shoe-in to Boondock at the casinos !!

Rained and misted on us, in Alabama, too and we had record low temperatures and we found out the furnace worked.

Looks like a great campground and I don't mind tenting the the rain. I waterproof the tent with Camp Dry and rig a tarp over the tent. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't like it. We were tenting in Arkansas and I saw the sky getting really cloudy and dark. I broke out the Camp Dry and the tarp. We were totally protected but the winds were so strong it felt like we were in a hurricane. I loved it but the next day he insisted we get a hotel. Oh, well, what can you expect from a city slicker.

There was a cubscout troop there in the rain in little tents ! They were all covered in mud, huddled around the campfire !! I felt so bad, I almost invited them into my camper !! But the boys gave me an intelligent pause !!

We call it physically challenged. And to go in that bathroom on crutches cuz I have one leg and if you have to leave your stuff out on the bench cuz you don't have a car it's not good. I got you just hope nobody robs you. When I was at Hamlin my crutches slipped but I'm really good on crutches so I did not fall. They have some halfway decent handicap bathrooms but same thing we either get dressed in the shower on the bench or on the toilet like who wants to get dressed on the toilet? You wouldn't think of those kinds of things unless you had one leg and try standing on crutches brushing your teeth and shaving. Not all physically challenged people are in wheelchairs like they think

I hate to compare, but like my boys, I think most of the state campgrounds won't bother you if you have a few extra children, but you might need to get 2 sites side by side. There was a cubscout troop there in the rain in little tents ! They were all covered in mud, huddled around the campfire !! I felt so bad, I almost invited them into my camper !! But the boys gave me smarts !!
