Niagara River Trout Fishing 11 (With Bonus Steelhead footage!) + a new narrator!

Hey I’m coming up there next month and I was wondering if the steelhead fishing should still be good? And also what spot would you recommend fishing?

Or if there were any other creeks/rivers that would be worth trying for steelhead?

Hey glad to hear you’re coming up! You’re going to have a blast! The steelhead fishing should still be very good around that time in a bunch of places. For the river I would try places like Devils Hole State Park and Artpark State Park. If you are looking for steelhead, Artpark would be the way to go because around that time of year the main fish you will be catching at Devils Hole will be lake trout with the occasional steelhead mixed in. As far as creeks go for steelhead, I would try Buffalo creek and 18 mile creek. 18 mile creek near Olcott NY is always a good spot as well as near Hamburg NY, and Buffalo Creek in Buffalo NY always has a lot of fish. For the creeks I would scope them out on google earth starting at the lake and working your way upstream looking for deeper pockets that they might sit in. For the river I personally like to use spinners and spoons as you can see in my past videos, and for creeks I use a combination of spinners, spoons, and a jig with a float. @@jdawgsjigs0124 Alr thanks! All of the spots seem about the same distance from my hotel so what do you think would be better? The Niagara or the creeks?

No problem! Personally I would go to the river because it’s just so fun to go down there, but if you’re looking for steelhead, and only steelhead they stock up pretty thick in the creeks so I would go with that.
