Easy DIY Winter Pine Christmas Card

Hey guys! I'm planning on posting a bunch of easy DIY Christmas cards tutorial and this is the first one. Hope you like it! It really took no time to paint, and you can experiment with different colours too :)

We had a huge stowstorm in our area over the weekend, and your trees absolutely evoke the feeling of the wintry forest behind our house. Are you using a size 1 or smaller detailer? My fir trees can get a little bottom heavy, as I need to retrain my muscles from using the old, bottom heavy temperate trees in our neighborhood for quick sketches and doodled paint swatches. Slowing down with intent and a healthy dose of patience will surely help. As always, thank you, Nia, for sharing your process and providing helpful, constructive tips. I need to gift myself skillshare after Christmas; time is fleeting, and the peaceful zen of your calm encouragement and instruction helps me dissolve the stress of my day and make a little magic happen in a space free of worldly demands. ❄️💙❄️

I used a size 2, not too small but if you feel like you're a bit heavy handed you can use a smaller brush, or try to use a bigger brush and thn use a smaller one. I find, if I use a bigger brush, I tend to force myself to be more careful when painting small things, and I get a good exercise for my muscles, so when I switch to a smaller brush, its even easier to control :D My hands and fingers are usually really loose when I'm gripping my brush. I actually cut something out of this particular video, of me accidentally flinging my brush coz I barely grip them xD I'm so happy to hear that these videos could help you with your stress levels. I wish you at least a stress free christmas so you can enjoy your holidays ^_^
