Winter Watercolour Mini Scenes | Perfect for Christmas Cards!

Today I'm painting some mini landscapes with woodland and trees in winter colours. These make great Christmas card projects. I'm painting these to get ideas for this week's step-by-step tutorial which will be up on Friday and will also feature a wintry woodland.

Fave: Snowy grove. The way you brought light into the composition makes it a standout. Never mind the one 'blurry' tree, no one will really notice. Runner Up: Leafless trees on hill. So simple - just speaks of winter. Fantastic color! Inspiring - makes me want to give it a go! Merry Christmas!

I had never painted in watercolors before, but about Thanksgiving time I decided to try to paint my own Christmas cards, following KZbin instructions. Painted 45 cards, using about 5-6 different designs. This was one I painted a few times and it turned out very well. Thanks for sharing

They’re monochrome paintings, so green for everything, and I like that particular green, nothing more to it!
