I relaxed my hair to enjoy my hair and I love that you do that! (Only two weeks in relaxed since 10+ years natural) I desire retention and health and lewks and I like your approach to your hair… trust after being so strict with my natural hair (and still ending up with years of damage from misinformation) I’m NOT here to be afraid of anything including heat 💁🏾♀️. I’ll be getting the guide soon❤

Girl this is literally about to be me! I'm about to relax my hair after 9 years of being natural and I'm so nervous but I want to go back to enjoying my hair. I don't enjoy the ride anymore and I know people will try to guilt-trip me for that but oh well!

I feel like there needs to be classes on how to do roller sets. It’s a lost art
@mrod877 ай бұрын
@@ameliaokiyi6629 girl rollersets are how exclusively do my hair as of late. It always comes out bomb. I flat iron the roots when I’m done and wrap and it’s bouncy curls for two weeks! Even protective styles, I’ll sit under the drier either way rollers for 30 min then blow dry the rest of the way.
@TheDailyGab10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for this! As someone with fine strands and medium density, the flatiron is not really my friend. It’s giving you can see my thoughts 🥴 as a result, I’ve been roller setting my hair to dry & straighten it. It gives me MAX volume & shine, even after wrapping and it saves the integrity of my hair because I’m not using direct heat every week. I hit my roots with the flatiron, after taking the rollers out, at a low heat and go on about my business. I do plan to try oiling my hair the night before wash day & see how that goes. After being natural & team no butters or oils, I’m using caution reintroducing it back into my routine. Thank you again!

Hey, love your videos. I'm 1 of those girls that don't flat iron my relaxed hair. I do a Dominican roller set, pin curl with moroccan oil at night, and it's bouncing and behaving. With the right products, of course. I have fine hair. Heat tools thin it out.

I was relaxed for many years and did not blow dry or flat iron my hair. I only did roller wraps aka a doobie. I never saw the purpose of relaxing my hair to be straight and then frying it to get it even straighter. My hair never required all of that.

Growing up my hair dresser would do that but my hair would get frizzy by like day 5/6 flat ironing helped a ton for the longevity. I was also VERY active and my hair can still get wavy/curly even after YEARS of relaxing using salon products.

I relaxed my hair so it was more manageable to do my regular “natural” hairstyles like braids and twists etc. Then I realised that relaxed hair is best when it’s not pulled into a long term protective style, I’m going to start straightening my hair so that there’s less manipulation and actually embrace what it’s like to TRULY have relaxed hair. Can’t be treating it like it’s natural no more 😂

That Verb oil works great for my hair & that Paul Mitchell flexible hold spray. One thing I’ve learned over the years is everything isn’t for everybody. Some things are just for relaxed hair. I’ve been natural for only eight months, but I’m definitely going back to my relaxer in April. It’s been a challenge! Relax, blow dry & flat iron for sure. Happy New Year 🎊 🎉

Straight natural here. Just discovered you and I loooove how you're honest about the fact that relaxers DO in fact damage, but you give the permed girlies ways to mitigate the damage. I love the honesty and feel like I can trust you so I subscribed. I'm surprised you didn't mention Aphogee tho.

I relax my hair just so it’s more manageable and comfortable. I feel like I have so many more hairstyles I can do with relaxed hair. I never blow dry it and I only straighten it a few times a year for special events or vacations. Other than that I mainly do twist outs. 😁😁
