Dark knight an Stargazer remind me for the 80s tv show Benji, Zax & the Alien Prince - the heads of the androids. Way too cool!

Lol 😂 I see that! It also kind of reminds me of the first Apple iMac monitor.

my uncle had a bulova watch like that he bought from A&S probably late 70s or early 80s. He always said it was a drivers watch but not sure what makes this style good for driving

I know the one, very cool watch! Good question, having the time displayed on the side makes it easy to read the time without having to take your hand off the steering wheel. However, there was a/is one glaring issue with that, being these watches were predominantly LED display, so in order to use the watch as intended meant you had to take your right hand off the steering wheel to press the display button on the watch to see the time 🤷♂️🤦

@@Watch-CrazyMy grandfather had a watch that also read from the side. It was analog but with a digital display. It looked like rotating discs with numbers printed on them. I'm not sure if it was quartz or wind up I just remember it was mechanical movement. The watch was silver tone and I believe the numbers were a reddish orange. I don't remember if they lit up or not as it was over 40 years ago and I was a child lol. this is a tougher one maybe you know the answer to this because I do not even remember the brand name

@shayne87 Ah very cool 👍😎, I think I know the watch, is it the Amida Digitrend? Sounds like your grandfather was quite a character with a unique taste!

@@Watch-Crazy Holy Expletive! YES that was the watch he had! I havent seen this in years and no one Ive talked to has remembered seeing one. And yes, my grandfather was quite the character. Others he had was the Vox watch, several analog/digital hybrids, a very early dot matrix (which I thought was a watch designed by someone named Don Matrix who was from Las Vegas for some strange reason) and of course numerous calculator watches in both LED and LCD. My favorite was his seiko with an LCD world map which I thought was way cooler than his analog world time seiko which had a red arrow city hand and required thinking lol

@@shayne87 Don Matrix, brilliant!!! Lol Yep he was certainly a character, he obviously liked his gadgets and technology, those are some very cool, and seriously expensive watches, some of those LED calculator watches were more expensive than a sports Rolex at the time and some more expensive than a gold Rolex!
