When plantains (plátanos) ripen and their skins turn dark or black, they actually taste much better! As far as I know this is safe to eat, not to mentioned they are usually prepared by frying, grilling, or baking.

CP24's station is over in Scarborough now. Nearby the STC, north of the HWY 401 & McCowan. I suppose they got the advantage of closer access to the Highway for that.
