Great content once again Platinum. I’ve only lost once to this deck but it seems like it could have some potential even after people have figured it out. As a side note, I have to admit I was rooting for the syndicate gang deck since gangs have always been my all time favourite and I’d love to see you pilot something similar even though the nerfs to shady vendor and pulling the strings have definitely hampered it. Good stuff

I'm definitely making a Gang deck again. It's my favorite SY deck. I just did a couple SY decks right before the patch though so I figured I would do something in the other factions before going back to it. It's definitely coming up though!

Would Regis work for a Kolgrim deck? I mean banishing your own deck if you have the right cards is an insane Kolgrim play lmao. But i guess you have to lose round 1, then win round 2 with kolgrim then left with nothing?

You could try winning R1 then dropping Regis R2 and go into R3 with Defender + Kolgrim + Letho Kingslayer. They have to answer the Regis but if you already have those in hand you accelerate the Kolgrim. It would probably need to be a Jan deck to be consistent though.

That's weird. It seems not bad for a combo deck, but it doesn't seem overwhelmingly strong. As long as people know it's an option and don't pass early (which they must if they're just forfeiting) it's not that hard to beat if you have a decent Round 1. I'm pretty sure regular Deathwish is significantly better.@@DennisJeppesen

@@platinumpatrol2964 the deck I build was with dol dhu and it couldn't get beaten the tempo was just too much! And I know you stand a chance if you don't pass but you will have to commit so much and have some lucky draws, if you then get unlucky and it's not a Regis deck you have just played all your best cards. I can't see a version where Regis won't be a big problem for overwhelming hunger cause people are already forfeiting and it's only day 2. 😕

@@DennisJeppesen I guess it depends on the matchup. I was using Alchemy and Vampires when I faced other people using it. Since there's no answer to the Priestesses or Fleders in it they just lost R1 to the engines plus the bronze Alchemy/Bleeding cards and I still had my good cards leftover. The biggest thing to me is that once people stop trying the new things and go back to the best decks of last patch (NG soldiers and SK Sigvald/Sove midrange) I don't see Regis doing well into them. Soldiers have insane Bronze engines and tempo for Round 1 as well with Battle Stations, can lock out the Deathwishes, and don't mind playing out R1 thanks to the Resilience cards and Jan setup. With no control against SK the Sigvald/Knut combo can carry completely and they don't mind using it early since they can revive them. They also have insane tempo with Arnjolf + Sove. I think we'll have to see just how good it is but I'm always skeptical of calling things unbeatable or too strong right after the patch when people are experimenting. You could be right, but we'll have to wait and see.

Not it's not a nice deck it is everywhere! I have played against it 20 + times just today! It is everywhere I made this deck 20 minutes after patch and was so afraid it would be everywhere and of course it is. I can't wait for this to get banished!

The title is saying the opponent's deck is nice not this one :). I personally haven't seen it very much and haven't had any trouble beating it, but that's probably because I know what they're doing. It'll probably end up like Enslave 8 Kolgrim (although it's better than that deck) where once people know how to play against it it stops doing well and people quit using it.

@@platinumpatrol2964 your deck is not the strongest overwhelming hunger version i have seen, and it's only day 2 so I guess we will still see a lot of new options with Regis. I'm just afraid he will be the new reavers and people just forfeit whenever they see overwhelming hunger like they did with mobilization 😕 But anyway do you have any idea for Adda in NR? I am stuck on ideas with keeping her immune! I found out botchling is boosting with 5 points every turn 😅 but do you have any ideas? would love to see some content!

​@@DennisJeppesen Yeah we'll just have to see. People like to experiment with the crazier decks in the beginning of each patch. As for Adda, other than the Lubberkin/Botchling which is pretty great by itself my issue is the rest of the Revenant deck seems a bit outdated. Cursed Knight and Botchling are really the best things. You could include her in Knights and have a Draug round since you already run the Sorceress + Immortals Combo. The problem that is that regular Knights is probably just better. I'm trying to think of a deck that wants to run Immortals + Sorceress and has the space for Adda, Botchling, Draug, and wouldn't mind PFIs, but I can't think of one. Not sure if you know this, but the Deploy effect of cards resolves before they are considered to be on the field. That means if you want to be wild and go no Devotion Cursed Knight on Regis: Bloodlust will transform it and give Adda +20 while removing the downsides of losing a round with Regis. Probably too difficult to do reliably though.

@@platinumpatrol2964 you are probably right about the whole knights thing, and yes sadly revenant are a bit outdated so maybe Adda just isn't strong enough to really make her worth it 😕 But yes I have tried the cursed knight Regis combo 10 provision for 20 points is not that bad but I can't get the Adda combo to work cause I just don't get draws! 😂 Maybe with cursed scroll I guess you could almost guarantee the combo but it's just to much luck for my taste. I tried radovid out but I just don't feel like he is worth it, if he gave an extra charge then hell yeah! But now it's more a controlled roach 😅

There's been decks like that as long as I can remember. Old Adrenaline Rush NR had several with Siege Tower before its rework, Enslave 8 Kolgrim, some of the older variants of Lockdown mill, Archgriffin, Meditating Mage, ect. The difference this is stronger in a regular game than most of those. I can't say its broken since I've beaten everyone else who's tried it against me, but it must be super annoying if you don't know it's coming.
