Just wanted to say thank you. I'm an arachnophobe, who started watching cause arachnids scary but really cool. Last Sunday I picked up my 1st tarantula, a Grammostola Plucra. She's adorable. Thank you for inspiring me to face my fears. My biggest fear now is that she's a sling and I dont want to screw up her care.

Well done Erik, I was 💩 scared of spiders 🕷 to, but after watching lots of tarantula videos I slowly got over my fear. Next month (oct) ive had my T called China a year. I have a Tliltocatl albopilosus- curly hair tarantula.(Nicaragua,true form). my next T will be the Brachypelma hamorii, and a jumping spider,I really love the Phidippus regius. How's you're spider doing? 💜💙🇬🇧

Happy Father's Day! (not sure if that's a thing in Croatia.) Thank you for the wonderful videos. I'm too much a wimp to be in the same room as your critters so this is enough for me. I checked out the sponsor and I gotta say, it's too rich for my blood but they do have some really nice stuff. Wasn't expecting to be cheap but holy carp, one thing was $4000! Thank you for picking out businesses that do help, even if a little, to make this world a better place.

Petko, I've been watching for a while now trying to work through my arachnaphobia and educate myself. I had bought jumping spiders and they moved to fast and I was to afraid to hold them. Yesterday I went to a pet expo and held a T. Albopilosus. My first ever time holding a spider intentionally. She was so calm and docile I kinda was smitten. I bought one and am not afraid to hold it. Thank you so much!

There's some really good lesser known creators out there. However, in Petkos videos, the Tarantulas are always the focus (except for when he's talking). With some other channels, I get the feeling that some people are more like vloggers who own tarantulas, but 80% of video time is the uploader's face

@DaveTormala2 жыл бұрын
7:53 at this point the Tarantula uses it foot to tap the roach to get a response then the roach moved and it all it took for the T to detect what it was that fell. Perhaps it was vibration but maybe the T actually did see it cause it does stand out quite a bit and the T recognized that this was something normally the enclosure. Nice slow take down by the curious Tarantula.

I also noticed my Tarantulas molting due to the higher temperatures. Look at these crazy numbers: 2 weeks ago: Acanthoscurria geniculata 1 week ago: Heteroscodra maculata 4 days ago: Grammostola pulchra Yesterday: Brachypelma klaasi Today: Aphonopelma chalcodes I call the numbers crazy because the last three tarantulas are all big females of slow growing species, so it's really interesting to see them molt all in the same week.

To prevent the mold what you should probably do is put a drainage layer of Activated Carbon so it keeps the water is the system purified, I don’t believe it would harm the tarantulas since it’s used for a ton of live terrarium setups. If you check out ABG mixes which are used for basically any setups some actually contain Activated Carbon in them. It should hopefully even be easy for you to get because you can usually find it in any pet shops since it’s used as a filter medium for fish tanks. You can even just add some to the ground mix you make and it should help prevent mold in any type of enclosures. I hope it helps out your mold issues if you try it out, Namaste Petko.
