What is that crazy reflective greenish brown stuff you have your boat setting in??? LOL!!!!! The Guadalupe River 3 miles from me is completely GONE!! for the 2nd time this year. It dried up in early June and we've had ZERO rain since April. It's really bad here. Everything is dead, not just dormant!! I'm happy that y'all are able to get out and enjoy the river and one of your favorite activities!!

Catfish are by far my favorite eating fish. Flavor is awesome. They are scavengers. But hey. Americans absolutely love chicken. And take it from a country boy. A chicken will eat about anything!

I've tried to describe it, with catfish it's really more the texture than the taste. It's denser than flounder but just as mild. The great big catfish tend to be fishier tasting in my opinion.

You should explain how a trot line works, I know it goes across the river, but surely you aren't the only boat cruising by. With rising/lowering rivers how do you keep from getting caught in props?

Next video I'll do a little rundown, but yes we have bricks tied to the line. The bricks can be moved to change the shape of the line as well. We're fishing an area that's deep on one side and shallow on the other, so there's more weight in the deep spot. It gives the line a Nike shape

Yeah there's only a handful of states that allow it, and there are strict rules. Can't be below a dam within 100 yards, only 18 hooks per line or less, the deeper part has to be minimum 4 feet below the surface.

Hey Nina, the last 2 fishing trip I’ve been skunked. I like to float fish on the Alabama River north of Montgomery. I’m thinking the water temperatures are too hot right now plus recently there’s been a advisory not to consume any fish from the lakes and rivers. I’ve caught my share of fish in the past but I think I’m going to hold off until the water temperature cools down.
