So...back in 2020, when I really started venturing away from typical designer and celebrity scents and I started discovering Niche and Indie Fragrance Houses - ELDO was one of the first houses I discovered (thanks mostly to Sebastian The Perfume Guy) along with Zoologist, January Scent Project, Imaginary Authors and a few others...I fell in LOVE with Niche, Very Artistic, Esoteric and Ultra Creative Fragrances! When I realized that Perfumery really is an Art - Beyond just smelling like Vanilla and White Florals - or Leather and Musk for men...That Perfumes can tell entire stories or put in you in a specific place or time - I was hooked! ELDO will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart! Some of my favs are: Experimentum Crucis (Their entire elevated line truly), Like This, Fat Electrician, Putain De Palaces, Henry and Fin Du Monde...xoxo

I have Jasmin Cigarette. lol Idk why I buy these cigarette smoke perfumes, but I have a few. Givenchy Hot Couture does that for me too. Like I smoked and sprayed perfume all over. Also own Une Amourette because it's such an interesting iris wood perfume.

Funny story. I’ve blind bought P*tain des Palaces because of the name. It was one of many perfumes of many other brands that was on sale at the time in that store - I could have picked any other fragrance from the sale, even the ones that were more discounted. I could have even bought 2 other cheaper fragrances from the sale. But the name got me. This testifies that marketing is important 😅 although it was different from what I expected based on the name I have no regrets buying it.

ELDO is one of my favourite niche houses. It was one of my gateway houses (along with Serge Lutens) for the reasons Janet mentioned. I have 20+ from this house and haven't come across a dud yet. A couple aren't very wearable for me, but I still find them intriguing. I find choosing favourites very difficult, but a few that I have worn often are Like This (perfect for fall), Noel au Balcon (a favourite for the holidays), Fat Electrician (yummy vetiver), Fils De Dieu (south east asian rice pudding) La Fin du Monde is one of the few I don't have and now I think I have to have it. The decriptions you two gave really poke to me. I have been hesitant to try Tom of Finland because I worried it would be too masculine for my taste, but now I am curious.

Tom of Finland was very unisex. I was shocked as well as I was anticipating major manly leather. Definitely leather but so nice!!

Wow, 20+! I'm dying to try Noel Au balcon but I just can't seem to find a sample. Fils de Die was my first ELDO. I still love it but don't really wear it out of the house. Should I try it at the office? I hope you get to try Tom of Finland! Thanks for watching!

This was great! love your videos and the pop up guests are so much fun! 🥰🥰🥰 Eldo is a true niche, many strange and unique scents! "Like This" is my favorite, also enjoy the Jasmine one and Noel au Balcon (sweet honey cinnamon that was ahead of it'stime and now is right on trend of all sweet gourmands). I really love the "reasonably priced niche" category like Eldo, and Molinard, - I wish more brands would be like that.

Yay! I love ELDO! It's one of my earlier niche finds as well. Jasmin et Cigarette is my top fave followed closely by You or Someone Like You and then I Am Trash. JeC is my fave tobacco scent although some say it smells like an ashtray LOL. It's a for life perfume for me though and even though there are other sexier, better tobacco scents out there, some I've tried as well-- I'm married to Jasmin et Cigarette ;D P.S. Completely forgot-- Soul of My Soul is another major love for me. That in my opinion is the best scent from this house that I've tried. 500 Years is also interesting.

What a great list! I’ve been noticing a lot lately that there’s quite a few niche houses that are unique, perform and the price is same or LESS than designer!! I’m sick of designers and them jacking prices and making flankers! I’ve been looking them up for a while now and they’re on my list of to try! Definitely want fin du le monde one! @@mariacollettlife I love a good mint lemon and rose as well! I tried this middle eastern one by Al rehab ( I got the oil and spray on Amazon) Al rehab Sabaya I believe, it’s a mint lemon and rose! I layer with water lily tea dress ( which really love the mint in that one )!! I would love this guest to come back..and do another affordable niche brand? Curious about merchant of Venice? Or Serge Lutens? Some are horrible priced!! But some are about $100! I have five o clock gingembre (tea gingerbread cinnamon mmm) and the orange blossom one

I tried a large ELDO discovery set and I was underwhelmed by most of them or just didn't find anything that sung on my skin, so I sold it on Mercari. While I liked a lot of them, I absolute hated Like This. I know it is a favorite of so many and I tried it many times; a big nope. When you say soup, I can relate. It was a discordant odd sort of soup to me, and terrible. I don't recall having the iris one in the set so now I am interested in trying that one. I found the perfumes unusual for sure and complex but most were not something I wanted to wear. I wish I had kept Jasmine and Cigarettes, 500 years and one other from that set. I think large discovery sets can be too much for me, honestly. I do better ordering a few samples at a time because I find I don't give them the wear time on skin they deserve. That's an interesting point about big discovery kits. Maria seemed completely overwhelmed when I plopped this one in her lap roughly a year ago! If I don't have any experience with a brand the big kits feel like too much for me. Hope you enjoyed the video even if ELDO doesn't work well for you!😊

I have She was an Anomaly (ai creation skin scent that I can actually smell), Ghost in the Shell (sweet, dollhead skin scent what we would smell like if we were cyborgs), Yes I Do (osmanthus, rose and whipped cream this one has a naughty name too), and Like This you need to wear them ELDO fragrances work with your skin warmth are not linear and develop into their full potential on skin.
