Oh Nichola, Thank you so very much! I’ve already made “Fairy Nightlights” for my Granddaughters. My four-year-old Grandson felt left out and I felt terrible. I was thinking perhaps a Shark? Then l found your video... HOORAY! I showed him your Stinky Dragon and he was hooked! He said and I quote: “I will squeeze the pudding out of you if you make that for me Nana!” I just subscribed and am looking forward to checking out the rest of your Channel. My most sincere thanks. ♥️😊👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This is Pam I am a crafter and love dragons. Thank you for posting this. I am making them now. Could not find the ultra fine powder ....so I made my own from dead leaves ground to a power and the sage color came from ground dill. There is always a way. Can't wait to finish. thank you again..PK

I am now a fan of Gypsy Soul! My first attempt at a Dragon jar didn't go as well as I would have liked. Pretty sure I used a little too much paint and not enough water. Three jars are sitting, waiting patiently for me. Time to try again!

My grandson told me I 'always make girls fairy things'. I made him a fairy door last year with an army camouflage design but he wasn't impressed lol. He's gonna love this, thank you x

Yooo. Ive been watching all these fairy jar videos and i wanted to make a dragon one and here i find this. Very well made by the way its great to see someone else respecting dragons. I STILL dont know why so many people think they need to slay dragons. Fools.

I really want to do this. I looked up paint for glass and read that folk art enamels are oven curable. I'll try the wash technique with them.

Not to be a hater but very few actually tried this. The wash does not stick to the interior. I had to restart and put massive amounts of dawn soap on the interior. DO USE WATER SPRAY looks awful if you don't. Also would like to know how the dragon on the bottom is staying? The one with the wings can be glue by the wingtips. But could you please advise how you got the other dragon to stay put. Also this exact silhouette is on google images. I used my Cricut to cut two for each and glue together for strength. ( I used black paper) This also allows you to spread the wings of the standing dragon. Mine does not look like this at all. I think the paint she is using is paramount. Also the white wash will get a little clearer as it dries. I worried about lack of transparency especially because you have to try to play with the water vs. paint ratio. This does take talent and there is a learning curve. i thought I was crafty until I tried making these for my nieces Renaissance wedding. P.S. COULD YOU JUST SELL THESE INSTEAD?LOL no really
@PixieHillStudio7 жыл бұрын
The paint I use is craft acrylic paint, the cheap kind you get from the Dollar Store. Its really, really important to wash the jars, but NOT use any sort of rinse agent. The rinse agent (like Jet Dry in the dishwasher) will cause the paint to bead rather than stick. Washing with hot soapy water by hand should do the trick.

They don't make it any more and I am gutted! I even contacted the company about buying all their leftovers.... no such luck. BUT if you look for supplies for model railways you can buy similar products used for creating terrain/grass/ etc.

Nichola Battilana thanks for the reply. is it long lasting. thinking of trying this istead of buying frosted glass
@PixieHillStudio7 жыл бұрын
If you scrub or get it too wet the paint will come off... but you could fib and say its just distressed ;) It's worth noting that frosted glass 'paint' will be more resilient but can still be scratched off.
