I can't believe that people don't realize just how much Nicholas himself did in the Red, White and Royal Blue. I can say this with confidence, having been on stage for almost 40 years and working with many different actors and singers. I was shocked when I saw him perform, how good he was.

Purple Hearts was my first viewing of Nicholas G. Loved it. Then, The Idea Of You was my 2nd viewing. I’ve watched it 5 times in the last 4 days. So much goes through my mind. And yes, this IS a coming of age movie…. For each character. That was my first reaction to the movie. Why can’t a woman in her 40s experience a CoA season? Why can a young man in his 20s? Nicholas and Anne portrayed their characters’ emotions so authentically. I literally felt every emotion that Solèn experienced. I literally felt every emotion that Hayes felt. They were so good in this. So good. This movie just took the number one spot in my list of favorite romcoms. Btw, I’ve been on a Nick binge all week after my first viewing of The Idea Of You. So much skill in the arts.

oh my, 💯 yes to all of it! I'm not good with words, but if I was, these would be exactly my lines. I was blown away by how Anne and Nicholas were able to convey their emotions and how I really felt what they were feeling an go through it all. ❤

I watched this movie with complete open ness as a 65 year old baby boomer. I have never seen a love story in my life I was so moved! I laugh and cried with every scene given in part with the amazing chemistry of the primary characters of this film! I've played the same scenes where the love and sadness I could feel originally can be felt over and over. Lol I eventually I think I will have the script etched in my memory. ❤
@ashelizabethart5 ай бұрын
I'm like six minutes in and already crying because I've been trying so hard lately to go after the things that I want in my life, and it's just felt like setback after setback, feeling like I'm never gonna get anywhere, and then like y'all talked about, we're surrounded by images of people living these seemingly perfect lives or doing the things we wish we could do, and I end up falling into the comparison trap and feeling horrible about myself. I know that in reality, each setback is a learning experience which ultimately helps me go forward, but it can be hard to remember that in the moment. Sorry for the ramble- I just have a lot of feelings about this sort of stuff lol. Thanks for the awesome podcast!

@reignwithjoshsmith Finding happiness through creating a purpose rather than indulging in superficial pleasures. Most of the time, you hear the cliche.
