Judo practicioners are extremely proficient at submissions, it's actually a running joke in the BJJ community how high level Judo players are easily able to give any brown and black belts a run for their money even without training a single day of Jiu-Jitsu. People easily forget that Judo also originated from Japanese Jiu-jitsu, just like BJJ. It was because of entertainment value as it became an Olympic sport that Judo has forsaken ground techniques in competition, doesn't mean they are not there. Or do you think Ronda Rousey was so good at arm bars because of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu when we all know she had practiced Judo her entire life. Also, he can be a great wrestler all he wants. Fact of the matter is that he's a tremendous wrestler who applied two Judo throws with absolute perfection, one of them causing an injury to his opponent. So, yeah, the credit goes to Judo. he tapped before the choke. he tapped because his arm was hurt on the takedown. u see him tap on the floor before he even puts teh choke on then a couple seconds later taps again on his body.

How did the announcers not see it was a shoulder injury and not a darce choke

Meregali pensa que é o novo Gordon Ryan, mas ele não passa de uma cópia barata e fraca do Gordon. Pintando até o cabelo da mesma forma só que lutando passa vergonha. Meregali é o Gordon Ryan da Shoppe

overconfident as hell to think he could out hand fight and takedown an NCAA wrestler. Played into Pixley’s strengths and game, got his ass whupped. Good job Pixley🎉

He was tapping before the darce. He landed on the shoulder. Definitely not a tap from submission.

In all fairness, if someone Judo throws you to the ground and you can't continue because of the hard landing on your shoulder which is what the move is intended to do.....then you have in fact tapped from a pain submission. He put that man in pain and he tapped....or submitted as a result though yes I agree it was not the darce choke submission most people think it was but he was in fact 100% submitted.

@@WHOTHESONSETSFREE01 ridic. thats like saying if someone side steps ur kick and during the side step they roll their ankle and fall over and cant continue u ko'd them cause the kick caused it.
@oldeenglish643 ай бұрын
@@WHOTHESONSETSFREE01 In no world would I consider that a "submission win". The guy landed wrong, and was injured from a throw. There was no jiu-jitsu involved.

not sure why people are impressed with Pixley, he avoided grappling most of the fight and disengaged almost the whole time, got lucky Meregali got injured otherwise he was looking to just dance around and avoid the superior grappler on the ground, which is what its supposed to be about, grappling, not avoiding grappling.
@chivimbe3 ай бұрын
Pixley dominated this match. I say this as a Meregali fan
@gsp34283 ай бұрын
@@chivimbe he dominated by disengaging the whole time pretty much, moving around and trying actually participate in the grappling part, he was looking to win a decision, grapple for one second, then disengage, wait another few minutes of dancing around Meregali and then try for another second. Pixley is the superior wrestler and by that he could control where the match goes, but wanted almost nothing to do with actually grappling which dissapointed me, because I know Pixley is a beast. I want to watch actual Jiujitsu, no try and hope for a pass and then disengage for the next five minutes. He only won because Meregali got hurt. He certainly didnt dominate. I just watched Nicky Ryan vs Andrew Tackett, and that was a domination. Tacket continually tried to pass, and put constant pressure on him. Pixley did none of that.
