This movie did a great job making the antagonist feel unstoppable. Fun fat: This movie was based on Horikoshi original concept of ending BNHA. There's also a 2 chapter background story on it too.

I saw this right before covid. Genuinely lost my mind at that scene. What a theater experience. Sadly didn't get to see the 3rd movie in theaters. But will be there for the last one...presumably. For all I know they do a 5th movie canon past the manga lol.

@@tyratooOP Saw this at the local cinema as well. Amazing movie. That last fight was amazing and hope the last movie is just as good. I saw the third movie at theaters 2 times, first time was when I was in Florida on vacation at disney world, went to Universal Studios for a day and saw the local theater was playing the movie, was kind of mad I was going to be away from home when it was being shown locally but glad I found a theater that was playing it where I was vacationing. Was lucky the movie was still playing locally because they extended the run back at home so I went again. I got the small manga comic they were giving away at showings of the movie in Florida as well. It's the same they were giving away in Japan screenings as well.

That last fight with Deku and Bakugo is still one of my favorite animated fight scenes. The details, the choreography, THE MUSIC! I love how their instances that give tge impression of just how much power these two are outputing, like all of Deku's electricity covering him as he spins like a maniac, drilling through 9's barriers, or Bakugo going Sakazuki below ground! This is what superheroes are all about! Overcoming the odds and saving the day!

Others have probably mentioned it in the comments already, but this movie was the original ending concept for MHA as a whole. Basically, swap out Nine with Shigaraki and/or All for One and replace the other minions with LoV members. The big difference is that it would presumably have ended with Shigaraki and AfO dead and Bakugo wielding One for All permanently. Horikoshi ultimately thought of something better and reserved this concept for the movie. As an aside, there are now only five chapters of the manga left, with the series set to end with chapter 430 in August. That was only announced this week, so the epilogue is now officially in progress.

Nah (Japanese)sub is way fuking better. It's a pun in Japanese and got ruined in translation. The english dub doesn't exactly work around with another pun but they atleast make a cool line unlike the sub. Bakugo makes so much puns in Japanese and all that goes to waste in translation lol

Ah yes the second movie…that thanks to how they rearranged things in season 5 technically takes place at the end of season 5. While this did come out between season 4 and 5, there are clues sprinkled in the film, and the manga at the time also added in mentions of Nine and the experiment that shows at the beginning of the movie during the arc that takes place right before this movie happens that shows it’s after the arc that is at the end of season 5 (the studio rearranged two arcs for season 5 to help coordinate it with the third film’s release). I know it sounds confusing but I blame it on the movie releasing between season 4 and 5 and the studio rearranging two arcs just to fit the release of movie 3 😅
