@@aiganymsutenova9719 i mean regardless of where you think current blackbeard scales, it just kind of feels like it makes the most sense narratively for now, and thats been why most people ever since it was revealed that the scar came from BB and that BB will probably be the final villain bc of how similar he is to luffy and how much he grows in power, MOST people just do not see shanks making it to the end of the story 😭 I love shanks, one of my favorite characters in the entire series, he's strong, cool, interesting, and the build up to revealing that he isn't just some nice pirate that gave luffy his straw hat, but one of the most powerful characters in one piece is amazing. But it honestlyyyy just feels like it makes the most sense for blackbeard to at least play a part in shanks's death later on.. Edit: I also forgot to mention how on marineford, he said that he didn't want to take on shanks _yet_ ... That implies he would take him on further down the line, and it would feel weird if shanks comes out alive, let alone the winner against blackbeard before luffy gets to be. Ofc it could go in a different direction, like luffy and shanks taking blackbeard down together or smth, but for rn, shanks dying to blackbeard feels like its where that plot line might go, and its been felt like that for many people years ago by now.
