The original plan was for machina 1 and 2 to be a double album. That would have been amazing

I think that the mix on “Stand Inside Your Love” with the shoegaze style of “Real Love” could have been blended and repurposed for all the Machina 1 and 2 songs, and if they a few dropped weaker tracks, it could have been a double album powerhouse akin to MCIS that Virgin Records and the fans would have absolutely loved and eaten up. I love each record, even though it works best as a whole, but while it was a tragically missed opportunity, I’m so glad Billy released Machina 2. I do hope the deluxe reissue sees the light of day. Either way, both records offer incredible gems, but Machina 2 is my absolute favorite.

yep unfortunately the quality and complexity of their recordings fell off a cliff after the machina albums (imo), i actually kind of dread listening to their new stuff when it comes out. like i still want to hear it on the offchance there's some decent stuff in there, but at the same time i go into them almost knowing for sure im going to be disappointed

As far as I know, this album is still in the works for a reissue. A massive collection: the full album, the missing eps, and bonus tracks. Around 80 songs. Hopefully we get it sooner than later.
