I served her majesty the late Queen faithfully for 30 years as a police officer, retiring just over 10 years ago. I spent all of my 30 years as a constable not wanting to rise up the ranks but instead to serve the public by being on the street. It saddens me to see how this guy has lied to get to the top job when others were happy to serve on the streets. It’s only right that he has been sacked and I feel he should face the charges that were mentioned in this video. He has brought disgrace upon the police service and should be held accountable to demonstrate to the public that no one is above the law.

Nearly 6 years. On 6 August 2018, Adderley became Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police. His ex-wife reported him. She was a retired policewoman. She said she reported Mr Adderley after an old colleague of the pair sent her a picture of him wearing the General Service Medal (Northern Ireland) - awarded for service during The Troubles - and the South Atlantic Medal and was sickened. At the time of the ten-week Falklands conflict, she knew her ex-husband was just 15, and a sea cadet. The Crown Prosecution Service is considering a file of evidence which could lead to charges of misconduct in a public office and fraud by false representation - both of which can carry jail terms.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. A lot of these police officers, once retired, go on to work for the CCRC, so there are many wrongly convicted people in prison relying on ex officers, some of whom may have played a part in the original convictions, deciding wether or not they get a case review, so there's a massive conflict of interest. His next two medals are the Golden Jubilee 2002 and the Diamond Jubilee 2012. He would have been given - not earned - these because the only criterion is five years in uniform: worthless, because a medal given to everyone is worthless! Oddly enough, he’s not wearing the Platinum Jubilee 2022 or the Coronation Medal 2023, also worthless for the same reason. The only real medal he is wearing is the Police Long Service and Good Conduct medal, which is forfeit now that he has been dishonourably discharged. It is an offence to wear medals to which one is not entitled, and I hope he will be charged with unlawfully wearing the two campaign medals.
