I retired from the military 2 years ago. At 58 I’ve been eating this way for nearly 5 years and physically I’m easily in the best shape of my life - even rocking the abs suited for a body 30 years younger. I keep the carbs minimal, eliminate the sugar, and avoid alcohol. For some it’s extreme but I prefer to be healthier.

Diet is 98% of the fight to lose weight and actually if you are exercising and eating right, you'll see those abs without doing a bunch of ab workout. I cut down the carbs and eat more meat in my diet and I started losing weight and gaining strength using the X3 program and tossing out the weights and stopped jogging. I also push and walk backwards with a sled to keep my knees as well as the rest of my lower body flexible and strong.

Reduced yes but did not cut out carbs. Carbs are essential for the energy required especially as a pro athlete. If you just cut out carbs your energy would be much lower. Most important NOT all carbs are created equal. So but cutting out the bad carbs having the healthier carbs that is success and the results show. I have cut out the bad carbs and wow what a difference.

Well everything in that video had "carbs" but they were all diverse highly nutritious, unrefined versions in meats & vegetables. Simple starches & refined carbohydrates (most every pasta & bread) are the carbs the nutritionists are referring to. And yeah, he actually probably does have some in his diet on game day b/c a salad at half would lead to cramping, bloating & poor nutrient uptake. The "no dairy" thing is silly California nonsense. Then both of them acting like all he eats is fish. He has to have lean beef, pork, chicken, turkey, etc. The guy is eating a combination of the Mediteranean Diet and the Plate method. I'd kill for that much delicious, well prepped food in a day.

@@Craig_Doll Nutritionally speaking - dairy (especially milk) is overrated. You can get the same micro and macronutritents from other foods in much high quantities with fewer calories.
