My issue with your emphasis on that 2017 Oklahoma game as a indicator of how he’ll do against NFL OL is the point in his career at the time it was played. He didn’t start a single game as a freshman (still saw significant time/snaps) but that Oklahoma game in his sophomore year was only his second start ever. Just some food for thought. That being said, what makes these guys special is their physicality and mentality. Even going back to their freshman highlight tapes at Aquinas HS, it’s evident that both of these guys are straight up old school football players. They’re physical and relentless every single play, and when they get their hands on QBs they beat the hell out of them. Like you said, I think both guys have such high floors they’re hard to pass up.

As a niners fan, I’ll take Josh Allen. The niners got two new linebackers. Dee Ford and Kwon Alexander. However they will be putting Dee Ford on the line. So I would take Edge Rusher AND linebacker Josh Allen. Allen also has longer arms, more strength, speed. And is even taller than Joey Bosa. He even placed top 3 in combine scores, which was also better than Nick Bosa.
@CH27165 жыл бұрын
Bosa fits our scheme the best while also being a productive Edge Rusher which the Niners have lacked ever since Harbaugh left. Q Williams is the most dominant defensive player in the draft by a wide margin, just that the Niners might not pick him bc they have so many interior defenders already. But Lynch did say he is choosing the best player available so there's a possibility there. Rather have either of those two over Allen
