"When my son died, Leonard Cohen emailed me: ‘I’m with you, brother.’ It was one of the most meaningful messages I received at the time. He was compassionate. It's a different take on it, no reason to make a similar version of it. Cohen has contempt in his voice whilst Nick's has a melancholic acceptance... I love both versions.
