Only heard this a few weeks ago, but I've been playing it almost constantly. Coolest man in the world with yet another stonking song. Hat doffed, sir.

The reason he says "one of the good ones" is that in the interview prior to the song, when they are discussing John Peel, Nick Cave says John Peel was.... "one of the good ones" - Jools Holland is making a reference to that, not the other bands

Greatest live band ever. Thankyou for uploading this. Man if only more bands and vocalists took their art this far. We'd have a much more beautiful world. :)

Nice to see a mandola--or octave mandolin--out there. This is a barn-burner. Really uses crashing waves instead of huge melodic moves. Amazing.

Mmmmmm I do like this song, but one thing.....JUST ONE THING! Johnny Thunders didn't write Chinese Rocks. That acclaim can only go to Richard Hell and Dee Dee Ramone. Johnny did sing a version of it with The Heartbreakers, who for a time had Richard Hell in it/ I'm surprised at Nick for this oversight.
@tonal195615 жыл бұрын
"And Johnny Thunders was half alive when he wrote 'Chinese Rocks'. Dee Dee Ramone would have objected to that line, let alone Richard Hell.

Kid: cursing, lack of respect, desperatly intents of catching some others attentions (any others), cleverness on the loose, etc, are gonna dry your imagination and turn off your ligth. Find self stime in another ways, try hard with your music for example, good art is good tutor, and do it respecful an consistenly. Love.
