Some people don't like to hit somebody and inflict pain on them unless they have anger towards them and that's completely normal, the other way around is psychotic.

Diaz needs to go after the title in the 170 lb division. I still believe Diaz would wreck Lawler still because Lawler's strikes are a bit too wide and reckless as always and his cardio isn't too good either while Diaz's style capitalizes on people with those holes. I also see Diaz beating Hendricks. I do believe, however, that he would get manhandled and murdered in the octagon against someone like Rory MacDonald. Rory is extremely strong, great cardio, quick sharp and powerful strikes, but inexperienced currently. Rory needs to deal with his lack of killer instincts and he'd be a real force in the Octagon then.

Daley is dangerous but the style of boxing Nick Diaz has wouldn't allow Daly to knock him out like he did scott Smith and speaking of Scott Smith, Nick Diaz also beat him and sent him to the Hospital in St Louis of 2009. So Nick and Daley would be a war not a push over but a war and there is no tellin who would win and Woodley is just showing more and more of his potential to compete with the top fighters thats why i think it would be for a great fight between him and Nick Diaz.

I like Nick as a fighter, nothing wrong with a little animosity before a fight to mentally prepare one for war. It helps having that motivation to really be vicious to someone, unless you're psychotic. He isn't afraid to voice his opinion, unlike most typical fighters too concerned with public perception, Nicks is more spontaneous with his comments. All you haters out there need to stop confusing confidence with cockiness' and show some respect to someone who bleeds for your entertainment.
@WayWeary12 жыл бұрын
If it was a real fight with animosity, you wouldn't be getting paid for it. You are classy about it because even though they are trying to hit you, you are trying to hit them, too. If you are pissed at them for that fact, that's silly. Wishing someone luck isn't wishing they are going to win, obviously, and you can mean it if you are saying you hope that they don't get hurt and put on an entertaining performance, even if they lose, so that their career doesn't take a hit in defeat.
@aznricebowl0312 жыл бұрын
fact is, it IS a real fucking fight. What makes it not "real"? How many pro fights do you have? Do you have any clue what kind of drive it takes to be an elite athlete? The way the Diaz' act has nothing to do with their opponent.. For them to perform the way they know they can, they need to be in a certain state of mind. Something you clearly do not understand.

@jnieves77 I consider Daley dangerous,and dangerous early in the fight. I know that Woodley is good(undefeated?),but how good do you think he is? He has very strong wrestling,in my state's conference - which means he had to be good. This match may have to happen,but I don't think I know what to make of it. I haven't seen Woodley fight yet. I'll check him out.

@RGDA4LIFE The Diaz Brothers are very humble people just take them the wrong way. For one thing they like to get under the person they are fightings skin to toss them off their game. Also they do it because it is their intention but at the same time they really aint as bad as they seem. Watch Diaz vs Shamrock and that will shed a lil more light then my ranting. But yea RG you are 100% right I think they need more fighters like that Diaz in the sport.
@WayWeary11 жыл бұрын
As I stated, you don't wish them luck in hurting you, of course. Obviously, they both want to win, but if you are both lucky, you will have a good, competitive fight with no injuries that will increase your notability and get you both more work and higher paychecks. Some people feel animosity or need to, but many don't. It isn't a street fight where you're enraged at your opponent. It is a contest with rules. I think you are the one that doesn't understand a good competitive mindset.
@Gogoplata20514 жыл бұрын
@OregonGaming Nick's just not interested in the cameras or the press. I argree he would be better off if he cleaned himself up a bit, but i don't think he's an idiot. He's just not trying to impress anyone and i respect that about him. He's a fighter. Like him or not, why should he sugar coat it?

@WayWeary11 жыл бұрын
So you're saying they have to trick themselves into feeling animosity towards someone that has done them no wrong? If so, that's their problem. It doesn't mean that someone else can't have sportsmanship and be respectful of their opponent and "Deeznutz" can't criticize the people that do. Am I a professional fighter? No, are you? It doesn't matter. There are plenty of people in the UFC that don't have the mentality of the Diaz brothers, including people with better records and better finishes.

@Azatis One more thing, if you were trying, in some indirect way, to insult me with the GSP comment. I happen to think he's an awesome fighter and wouldn't be surpised if he beat Nick. I do think that he has cheated in the past but god knows why. He has plenty of skill to get the job done. Though i wouldn't put it past Nick to win either. I like them both. As for Shields, it's about time he lost, maybe he'll work on his stand up a bit now...

@Gogoplata20513 жыл бұрын
@Azatis Way out of context. I never said anything about his profession. I said he's a fighter, as in by personality. I wasn't talking about his job. And the difference is, if a marine shoots somebody he is likely to kill them. But if somebody threatened to shoot him i doubt you'd mind if he used his miliitary training to defend himself. Nick gets out of line like most people, but generally it's when somebody is taunting or threatening him. Alot of us would do the same. Continued...

@jnieves77 I'm a fan too,mon ami. I want the Diaz/Miller fight,but only for selfish reasons - I want it demonstrated,at this point,that Miller hasn't reached Nick's skill level. The fight doesn't help Diaz,in his career,much at all. I don't care how he speaks,or acts in front of cameras - I am a fight fan,as you are. I am interested in what this man does in the ring - that is my only business with Nick Diaz. He is,I think,a 'real' person and one amazing fighter. Among the best in the world.

@OregonGaming I have been making the same exact point about Nick for the last 2 years, yet every1 calls me a hater. Diaz is talented, i don't question that for 1 second, but the dude is bad for mma, His antics (Coming to fights high, knowing there's a drug test following, taunting people he's just fought AFTER the fights over, and fighting inside hospitals etc...) have no place in a sport trying to gain respect, & recognition. That's why he is not now, nor will he ever be again in the UFC.
@OregonGaming14 жыл бұрын
@RGDA4LIFE Lots of people have been fighting their whole life. Somehow they have no problem conducting themselves in a professional manner outside the cage. Nick Diaz is just an idiot, he could be paid a lot more if he would get his sh!t together and get back to UFC. All he has to do is stop fighting outside the cage.

@Ronin205115 жыл бұрын
At Welterweight, GSP, Fitch, and Alves, would definitely beat him. At lightweight, BJ, Diego (he already beat Diaz), and probably Florian, would beat him as well. Not even counting guys like Aoki, and Alvarez. Diaz has great skills but he's not the end all be all that some of you guys make him out to be. He beat a washed up Frank Shamrock, and a punch drunk Scott Smith. That ain't exactly high tier competition.
