Yea, Nate usually loses if it goes to decision. That's why most his victories come via submission/ knockout. The judges are corrupt, everybody knows that. And that's exactly why the Diaz brothers fight like they do, they don't give af about the judges, they just love fighting and knocking Mofoz out.

It was disgusting to see how Dana was acting. For years he said GSP was easy to work with and made a ton of money off GSP fights. Then when Georges is sitting there having an emotional breakdown after a 5 round war, talking about problems in his personal life and he needs to step away, Dana completely shits him in every way he can. Even IF you believe Hendricks was robbed by the judges, why should Georges be responsible for their decision? Because it’s bad for promoting? GSP didn’t owe the UFC a damn thing.

GSP is so classy. Even when Dana is bashing him and saying GSP owes the company (even though GSP was the biggest star that took the UFC to a new level) GSP stayed polite and grateful. Dana white showed his real colours in this press conference. Georges owes nothing to the ufc. He put his health on the line every night during an era that the ufc kept almost all the profits from their fighters. The UFC owes a lot to guys like GSP.

Dana probably changed his mind after it became obvious that Hendricks was on steroids at the time, as obviously it's not "unfair" to get a bad judging decision if you're also blatently breaking the doping rules, which should have gotten him disqualified. In fact, Georges having a NC on his record instead of this W would still have been better for his legacy, and I think any scholar of the sport will consider that it probably should be considered an NC

+kreed82 Actually, according to the new unified rules, damage and octagon control are taken in consideration only when all the other points are scored equal, to prevent draws. Still, the scoring system stays pretty much the same, and still, it all goes down to the assessment of the the judges.
@kreed82
@kreed82 8 жыл бұрын
You Tapped Out To A Guy Who Lost 11 Times actually octagon control is not scored highly anymore if you do nothing with it, ie walking an opponent down/having them against the cage for 15 minutes with x2 as many strikes. Now if that opponent's sig strikes is higher whilst being backed up the whole fight that is what is going to get scored not the fact fighter A was dictating the pace on volume striking. Its the same with TDs, the commentary and in booth analysts were talkin up a storm for Brunson/Silva because Brunson got TDs but whilst on the floor did he advance? pass guard? mount and rain elbows? no? then that TD was worth nothing. In fact Anderson did more from the bottom striking wise and negated Brunson in his guard. Look up the vid on KZbin about the new rules bug john explains it perfectly. The fact everyone has their interpretation is what's going to make the outcome in a lot of these decisioned fights questionable
@stass2933
@stass2933 8 жыл бұрын
+kreed82 ''The fact everyone has their interpretation is what's going to make the outcome in a lot of these decisioned fights questionable'' Precisely my point, so how is the new unified rules an improvement on the scoring system? It still goes down to the assessment(interpretation) of every individual judge, even more so now. Just like the fans have their own interpretation of the rules, individual judges can have their own interpretation. Simply because the rules leave space for interpretations. I can also see appealing decisions becoming even harder now, and it was already close to impossible.

Just look at his face, swollen, beaten from a guy who was using drugs to make himself physically stronger, and he still has so much class and grace in the post fight. Nobody can take anything away from GSP, he earned everything he ever achieved with hard work, and was an excellent role model for everyone as well.

I gotta admit the guy who said everyone is different and develops differently is absolutely correct. I know this because I have always had a muscular build on a small frame and I have never worked out in my life and even now at 38 I still have a 6 pack although Im nowhere shredded like I used to be, I cant complain too much because I never cared enough to work out but I got accused of working out my whole life when all I ever did was drugs and not the performance enhancement anabolic types either. Im talking speed, pain killers, alcohol and while I know it isnt a drug Ill throw in marijuana as well and while I am NOT proud of my drug addictions, I wont run from them or blame anyone else but my point is that with my body type & genetics, if I would take care of myself and exercise, I would shred back down to around 145lbs Im 5'10" 175 lbs right now and feel old and fat probably because I am but without PEDs if I hit the gym for 6 months I could get my body fat back down to 5% no prob and I wouldnt have to eat right or anything not even get off the narcotics... However, my insides are probably around 10000yrs old from all the abuse im jist saying that the guy had a great point about different body types and development. I knew a guy growing up he worked out daily with the diet supplements etc and never could shred his torso like mine and he would be complaining while I smoke either a blunt or menthols. Anyhow just thought I would contribute to the discussion. Metabolism is an under rated tool that is often over looked and it took me 20 years to put on the 50 lbs i gained since high school

And was finnaly about to make some good money cuz he was the biggest star back then ! Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot , why the fuck would he come back now when he's way older ? UFC fights are not about the damage. If they were than Hendricks lost to Lawler. UFC fights are scored based on points. Dana might want to imagine that for this one fight the rules the sport is built on just magically disappeared to fit in with him wanting to have Hendricks get the decision but it doesn't make it true. However, Dana at least showed respect to GSP making his decision to take a break. He also pointed out that Hendrick's was stupid if he only used 70%. Everybody who saw this fight was left with unanswered questions especially the fighters. The clear winner of the fight doesn't exist. The whole thing is that Hendricks did not make it clear enough who the winner was. He certainly didn't KO GSP. Let's look at the stats... GSP beat Hendricks in takedowns 3 out of 6 to Hendrick's 2 out of 4. Hendricks lying through his teeth thinking he won the wrestling match. GSP beat Hendricks in significant strikes 101 to 85. GSP had 2 submission attempts and Hendricks had 0. Round 1 was the deciding round and Hendricks landed 1 more total strike and GSP landed 1 more significant strike. They both got a takedown and GSP attempted 2 against Hendrick's single takedown attempt. GSP also had the submission attempt. So... The point is that there is a plethora of reasons to suggest that Hendricks did not win this fight. There is a plethora of reasons why judging a fight based on damage is silly and subjective as hell - everybody will just think they hurt the other guy worse. Based on points Hendricks left this one wayyyyyyyyy too close and paid the price as the challenger. Hendricks did however beat Lawler on points and by rounds but Lawler looked way better after the fight and did more damage. So everybody needs to take it down a notch and learn how fights are freakin scored. A rematch should definitely happen because it was a tough and close fight and Hendricks definitely earned the championship in his fight against Lawler. So maybe people can give GSP the same respect Hendrick's got in winning by an extremely close decision in which he got hurt more. These guys are all warriors deserving respect. I think Hendricks learned a big lesson at the hands of Lawler when he realized that damage isn't how you win a championship... you have to play the chess match sometimes. At least GSP has been respectful and gracious as always... Hendricks will learn. Plus. If GSP loses when/if he comes back and even if you think he lost to Hendricks it doesn't erase GSP's legendary career of domination. GSP is one of the best ever and isn't done. Hendricks should be looking at the GSP fight seeing how to improve because GSP has a history of coming back and knocking out the people who gave him a tough fight. GSP is one f the most dynamic sponges I've ever seen as a fighter. Need evidence? How about a guy who never wrestled in high school or college out-wrestling a NCAA Division 1 wrestling champ? GSP will be back and will be better than he was. I look forward to the rematch if Hendricks still has the title which I believe he will!

UFC fights are not about damage? Dana White is the president of UFC. I think you meant mma match. Point scoring also doesn't have absolute standard. That's why there are 3 judges and that's why they score each round like 10 to 9 or 8. Dana said "It's about damage" and "They ruined boxing". You should think about that one more time. Plus, your comment doesn't look like unbiased opinion because youre sticking up for GSP. I don't like both of them and I don't care Hendricks got robbed or lost. That's why the judges don't score VISIBLE damage, you can see all the damage until a doctor looks them over, and you you just go off of visible damage anyone with lighter skin is at a serious disadvantage as you just won't see little cuts and bruises on a dark skinned person as easily as you will on a very white or light skinned person.

I had GSP up 3 rounds. The damage on his face does not tell the story of the fight. He disabled Hendricks through and through... Hendricks is just but hurt they gave him the OK to juice and still lost the fight.

Hendricks was obviously on steroids. This is what GSP meant when he said that he has to leave to "make a point". The point he made when he left was that he wanted USADA to be introduced to check on fighters and whether they take PEDs or not. Hendricks was not the same fighter in terms of physique or power/skill after USADA.

Silva lost though, Bisping was out striking him. Although, I think Silva should have pressured more cause he was actually doing really well when he pressured Bisping. He was only standing against the cage looking for a big counter on Bisping and he wasted time.

GSP won clearly. He won 1st, 3rd and 5th. Even in the second round Hendricks fight for 2 minutes, then he has done nothing till the rest of the land and only recieve shots. The forth was also a close round, so it could go either way. 5th was clearly round for GSP. Hendricks did wrong, because in the fifth he thinked he already won the fight and has done nothing in that round. He think he want the fight, just because he has 1 good round. He is **** ****. Also hes behaviour is pure s**** and all the b.s. he was talking he was disrespectful to a great champion like GSP. GSP clearly won the fight.

Listen to me if you think GSP lost that fight. For those who don't know about fighting. Some fighter get punch on the face all day but their face still look fresh. GSP is the type that every punch on his face make him bruise. If you still don't believe me, go n watch all his fight. Also, Hendricks fought good but come on guys. That's not enough to get the belt. To have the belt, you have to beat the shit out of the champ. After, I watched again closely. GSP won the fight but it's fair that GSP get Hendrick a rematch. Last, come on Hendricks. You don't have the belt, please don't said you are the champ.

Rashad Evans looks genuinely concerned and feels bad about gsp and kept staring at him and Dana white. Serious shit. So if you get cut or bruised badly with 5 total punches, but the other guy gets 100 punches to the face but doesn't bleed nor bruise easily, how fucked is that to base a fight on those things
