Great fight by both fighters..Diaz beats Daley at his own game...He now needs to fight a guy in the top 5-7 which is UFC fighters....There's no one left for Diaz in Strikeforce and there really wasnt anyone worthy to begin with other than Daley. Great Performance by Melendez but he's in the same situation as Diaz...

Diaz fans who say GSP only plays it safe know fuck all and obviously missed both the Koscheck fight and the Shields fight because he stood and banged with both those guys. Just more deadhead fans who think that knockouts and submissions are the only legitimate ways to win fights, go and do 3 minutes on the rope and 3 minutes on the heavybag continuous then you will have half an idea.

Diaz lost three in a row to Riggs, Diego Sanchez, and Sean Sherk (against Sherk his TD defense was pretty good, it just kept him from doing work on the feet). After that he fought in "ICFO 1 - Stockton" which I guess means he was released. After that he beat Josh Neer and Gleison Tibau then left the UFC.

This is how the Diaz-Penn fight will go:\ - Penn and Diaz go toe-to-toe in the first round. Diaz doesn't back down. Penn takes advantage and goes for the kill. -Penn's never been rocked. Diaz got rocked by Daley on his last fight. -The only way that Diaz is going to out-gas Penn is if Diaz decides to take the fight to the ground. But do you really think Diaz is gonna wuss out like that? No he's going to keep the fight standing and Penn will go for the kill.

@jjohnson218 There are plenty of fighters who can throw punches all fight, but if you think that GSP is half the athlete that Nick is you are out of your mind. GSP is well known form being just about the best conditioned athlete in MMA and not only can he keep throwing punched for 5 rounds he can shoot, take people down and keep them there as well as defending takedowns. Nick has only fought 5 rounds once in his entire career, yes that means he finishes people but again who of those were top 5?

@JohnLemazing The ONLY reason that Diaz is fighting GSP, is because there is no one left in the UFC (other than Condit maybe) that has a chance against him. Diaz is going to get destroyed, the level of competition in the UFC is at a higher level than Strikeforce. Hell, Koschek beat Dale and GSP beat Kos twice. It really only boils down to the fact that there is no one left in the UFC to face GSP...so they are bringing in a baddy to fight him.
