Its just such an amazing thing listening to these brothers always giving credit to their team before themselves or anything else for that matter. these guys are as real as it gets. Its about time they're getting there shine.

listen to this edited video, its cut off where diaz opens up a little about "people" recording his whole training camp, and diaz not knowing what they are doing with the footage. it was odd to see GSP know what diaz was going to do their fight together, he knew exactly how to stop his roll for positioning when he gave up his back (GSP would hop from leg to leg to stop his roll, later diaz questioned how he knew he would do that). there is a huge reason gsp never took diaz back and tried to put hooks in to submit diaz. all the footage from diaz camps, were probably given to GSP to study, im sure they do it to a ton of fighters they dislike. diaz is speaking of the future in many of his post/pre press conferences. he knew he was going to lose the GSP fight, right after they did the condit fight (interim title vs diaz) where it could have gone either way, he gets suspended a year, then is offered a title fight upon return? who gets a title fight off a loss and suspension? he was baited to lose, and also be defamed in the process. he took the fight, got paid and retired, but hes still stuck under contract... im sure he wishes he never signed that contract and went to bellator. nate diaz is stuck in the same situation. NICK/NATE fight the most out of every fighter. Gilbert was smart not to do a contract with the ufc right away, he called their bluff and bs. he got a bigger contract than current champ pettis LOL. i guarantee you, once gilbert loses this title match with pettis, hes going to be screwed in a contract just like nick and nate. Gil should of went to bellator, where they are trying to build fighters. UFC has fighters already built that they will stick with who "PLAY THE GAME"... the reason i say gilbert will lose to pettis, is because like diaz says, zuffa sends crews out to record training camps (they have authority under contract to do so) , they will give it to pettis camp, pettis will play this fight smart, he wont engage really and ride out a decision. pettis will get the nod... YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! zuffa will make GILBERT pay for playing them and calling their bluff for a huge contract. connect the dots my people... every star fighter who has a huge following, zuffa signs huge contracts to, whether they like them or not, it keeps those star fighters from going to bellator. If a star fighter is on his way out of a contract, they will put them up as bait to tough up coming fighters and they usually go out on a losing streak (also hated, defamed by media). this is not the only sport that has done this, boxing has done this for years! ufc is now what boxing is, the honor, respect, integrity, is all gone....

Nick Diaz has averaged about three fights a year during his career. I don't know how much you think they are making, but fighting professionally is a full time job- more so than you realize. Maintaining their skill and endurance takes total commitment in every thing including diet. They have to pay for their training and I believe also their travel and accommodations out of their own pockets. 3 UFC fighters train at the same MMA school I go to. They are not even close to rich.

Yeah, just saw this and re-watched it for memory sake... It still pisses me off when Nick was explaining about going jogging into a good neighborhood and back to his neighborhood where his car might get robbed, etc... And how he “didn’t go to school” to know about buying houses, and everyone just starts laughing. I’m from Youngstown, Ohio, wanted to be a boxer, even did really good in some amateur fights, had great potential, but some unforeseen circumstances forced me to stop early. It was because Youngstown isn’t the best place on Earth, is like the worst part of Stockton, CA, and I had to deal with some gang related issues that involved my family. Most of these “media fucks” just don’t get it. They were probably raised in a nice, huge house with a big yard, and fountains everywhere, with a picnic patio, and look down on the “bad neighborhoods.” These people wouldn’t know what to do if they found themselves in either Stockton OR Youngstown. Yet they laugh when they hear how life really IS in these places. It’s disgusting and I’d slap every single one of them if they laughed at me if I told them the things I saw and dealt with in my younger days...

You can tell Diaz doesn't like social situations like this, nothing against the dude, I personally think he's an awesome dude and rather a rather intelligent guy when it comes down it(In fighting and fighting psychology) but as these drag on you can tell how increasingly irritated he gets. Dana himself said after about 45 minutes he can tell Diaz is just ready to explode and immediately ends the press conferences then and there, example right here.

@Scottner1234 perhaps, but gsp didn't rely on wrestling against shields, since he could easily outbox him. anyone who saw shields getting handled by kampmann knew that. shields only wins by decision or submission. it was gsp's strategy. he couldn't lose a decision to shields, or anyone for that matter. so he didn't rely on wrestling, cause shields cannot box.

He said what he was talking about. He has a champ that wont fight him, no real time to himself 'cos he is fighting every 3 months (preparing for a fight takes a lot of work), his camp isn't getting what it needs etc. He is telling the truth, not trying to sugar coat it or be mr nice guy. People are asking him straight questions and he is giving HIS answer, not some "I'm going to play it safe" speech.

More Excuses: I can't get fights unless I'm a bad-guy, but I have too many fights and don't have time to situate myself. I don't want to sit up here and complain all day but "that's what you got me doing." Things happen TO me. I have little control over things. I don't have enough help in fighting. No one else has ever felt what it's like to fight someone they know. This is unique to me and it's super relevant to my situation. I cant make friends because this sport is competitive and violent

What were Tyson's opponents making though? What were the undercard making? For every Tyson/Mayweather/Jones Jr there are a thousand Tony Tucker/Carlos Rios/Tony Thornton's. Boxing doesn't pay anything unless you're a promoter or you transcend boxing into the mainstream. At least UFC allows their guys to display sponsor logos for extra cash

Only one who never boxed can say that mma is harder to train and make success... In my country if want to be top level boxer you must start to train boxing in very early age ...Only to be among the best in country.... Not to speak about Europe and the World...On the other side you have mma fighters who have trained a couple of years and are already champions.

You're right, he's not his kid. He's Dana's employee. When you sign a contract that specifically states you have to do pressers, and you don't do them, then there's consequences. So yes, he WAS punished. Even if they HAD fought, and he won, he would have been stripped for that stupid ass positive metabolite test, and we would have been back to square one. But the same time, Nick needs to fulfill all his obligations. He also no-showed that BJJ match with Estima. It's on Nick.
