DiPaolo is just depressing these days. He was decently funny back in the days of O&A when there was the crew of comics like Bill Burr (who is super cringe now in his own right), the late great Patrice O'Neal, Colin Quinn, Bobby Kelly, Rich Vos, etc. Now Nick just acts like an angry boomer who thinks he's smarter than he is and just does the same thing every day. I listened to his free Monday shows from late 2018 until around late 2019 hoping it would get better, but it's just so bad. A DiPaolo podcast can be summed up like this: >show begins >20-45 seconds of the same drops (the O'Reilly one, something from Sopranos, a baby with a really annoying cry, etc.) >advertising for Blue Chew or whatever else >"it's a filthy Monday" >Sopranos reference >suck off Trump for a bit >couple more of the same drops >be a dick to a producer (which is rarely funny) >shills upcoming gigs (can't blame him for that to be fair) >couple more of the same drops Add in covering some stories of Nancy Pelosi being stupid, stupid leftist college kids being... stupid, a couple more of the same drops, occasionally a cringey call in by some boomer like Ted Nugent who just repeats the same stock lines over and over ("I like to hunt, Trump is the best president ever, the kids are snowflakes, etc.") I actually agree with Nick on a decent amount of political stuff, but he's just like listening to someones pissed off uncle at the dinner table where you're just praying that no one will offer you seconds so that you can ditch the table to go do literally anything else that doesn't involve being around him.
