Doing the instrumental thing with backing tracks is hard enough (been there done that), much respect to this fella. Love what he's doing on his entire records. A tough song to pull off live as mentioned yes, but it works. Plus you got to give the guy credit, he's doing ALL that on a stratocaster with low gain, AND NO stompboxes for added gain or time effects. I barely even hear a trace of echo/reverb in the sound board overall mix.

Nick is a great player, I think one of the most interesting lately, but Remarkably Human live just sucks. Sorry, there is too much of everything there. Too much dirt, to much tremolo, tu much strings scraping, timing really bad... I know it's his song and he can do whatever he wants, but for me tha album version is just perfect. All live versions are really bad. The song is just beautiful by it's simplicity.
