Its crazy Gilles Simon reached at his best 6° ATP . It shows us you dont need power to beat ATP players, just consistency and good strategy.

Simon has amazing speed and touch too. Also, he has an incredible counterattack. Only with consistency and strategy you don't go anywhere.

Simon's game is boring enough to drive Djokovic to make 100 UE. Damn!, it would be a pain to play 1 set with him.

For atp level it is pretty bad

@@mattjagar6324 his first serve was never bad, he could easily blast 200+kmh aces, but that second serve

Kyrgios I believe he could work on his backhand, if he can get a nice backhand like Murray or Djokovic he would be in the top 10.
@theswissmaestro70454 жыл бұрын
He has the potential to be on the top 5 but he needs maturity
@theswissmaestro70453 жыл бұрын
@Nabil it’s not that good actually, the difference between his forehand and his backhand is too big
@bonzwah13 жыл бұрын
hahaha, a lot of professional players would like to have a nice backhand like murray or djokovic! it is apparently not that easy to do.
@JohnDoe-cf2rl2 жыл бұрын
Really? That’s all he needs? A better backhand? How about his maturity?

I assume Simon has chosen a retirement date by now.

why would you say that about a dude who will not only make more dough in the '21 season than you'll ever dream of making, but out of the 7.6 billion people on this planet, is right now considered the 63rd best at a particular skill? do you actually think that position on the pro tour is 'throwaway-level easy' to achieve? nonsensical.
@flicks19943 жыл бұрын
@@DanielBoonelight nobody said he’s bad but he is consistently losing matches, traveling place to place and training is exhausting and the payoff is not that good as he can barely string together 2 matches in a row

Is Gilles Simon really playing tennis? He’s really making me sleepy, even women pushers like Simona and Angie are really fun to watch.

He plays enough to be on tour since 2002, be on top 100 since 2006, be 58 ATP ranked today aged 35, and all of that without a huge and muscular body and any strenghtfull shot. ;) That's call intelligence and consistency. Boring or not, that makes him a great player, one of those that shows us strenght and heigh are not essencial to be a top 10 ATP player (even if it helps a lot of course).
