Our taxation is very high as we are funding maori in so many ways.
@rp77846 ай бұрын
Lol, such funding barely makes up a fraction of the revenue generated from taxation, if you're going to try and generate hate at least try not sound like an idiot whilst doing it. Our taxes aren't too high relative to other western countries, and alot of revenue from taxes go towards transport, infrastructure, health, education and social services.

It's because people are sick of Maori activism and privilege which is costing this Country and holding it back, immigration, better opportunities across the ditch and woke-ism.

We can't be like Ireland bc Ireland had the massive advantage of EU support - the subsidies they received were huge - and that is not available to NZ. His compartmentalisation of NZ into Māori and Pakeha - as if we haven't been intermarrying, and will continue, for decades. Such segregated thinking is harmful. Increasing levels of education as a means of advantage is also a fallacy... it depends on in what you are investing - everyone being fine arts graduates in Colonialism and Gender Studies is a waste... to be frank, his ideas are unimpressive...

Comparisons to Ireland are ill-considered. Ireland is part of the EU. NZ is geographically isolated. Ireland's GDP growth is impressive only because of profits from multinational corporations, which do not stay in Ireland and do not benefit Irish citizens. A better indicator of economic performance is GNP - And on that measure, NZ is better than Ireland... The real issue is that NZ is raw materials producer for the world (milk solids, milk powder, wool, meat, fish, timber, etc.). To transition from raw materials producer to provider of valued-added products or services is nearly impossible to do at scale. No Government policy or investment can change that. Fonterra was created on the promise of adding value - but it has failed to deliver. So, NZ has to accept that while we are a great place to live, we'll never be a top tier GDP per capita country.

All I have to say with this issue,you don’t import people for the sake of of it or for political advantage,you import people to fill deficiencies in those professions that will enable the country advance like,doctors,nurses,teachers etc,and the other qualification these imports must assimilate and adopt the NZ way of life,meaning it’s our country if you cant adapt stay home.

Two factors are pulling NZ downwards. Firstly, our welfare state is so large and such a financial drain on our economy. Secondly, our economy needs to be more diversified - not just agriculture and tourism.
