Nick is the reason I pick my guitar up and play it almost every day. I sound nothing like him when I play and no one ever will, but all around the world there are thousands like me giving it a go, all thanks to him!

@@FZ779 what a great question, and thanks for taking the time to ask it! Really good thanks, I've been practicing a lot, and it shows too. I've developed my ear as well, so I can at least play along, in some way, to a lot of the songs I listen to.

I love nick he's distinguished himself as a true pioneer of lifting the guitar beyond just meer music but universal language or something more expressive than words or art , once you identify with his artistic sensibilities you wonder how you went on so long without have knowing it . I still maintain nicks art will transcend to a broader and comprehensive audience as time goes on . He's the guitarist for guitarist

It’s interesting to compare this sound to the first Wigan demos. The evolution of Nicks playing is evident, but so similar to 1990. Could listen to this all day

I listen to Nick Mccabe play daily...how dreamy! I listen to Richard Ashcroft all day & night! I must say I miss the Verve together. BUT...they have a right to be together or go solo!

And how if they are missing, but I believe that we will have to remember those moments as a fairy tale, but ... sometimes fairy tales come true and so happens the magic moment .. of a nostalgic reappearance and full of old emotions !! Always believe in it!

Watched the verve in 1998 at Haigh Hall with my family from 8 years old to now. I’ve listened to many bands over the years Led Zeppelin, Oasis, The Beatles nothing hits me as much as this. May be biased as I am from Wigan but we will never know

Nope. It's been just a couple of days. Check his homepage. He says: "There will be a raft of new music releases, commencing with the 5 album initial solo ambient/electronics salvo (my initial calling before the guitar thing)." But the links don't really go anywhere. He has a couple of nice pieces in the "media" section though: nickmccabe.co.uk/whose-content-my-content/

@@floytron5924he is playing at high volume and the effect is just very competent control of actual feedback, the thing the e-bow is designed to simulate.
@Gabriel-zk9gb2 жыл бұрын
@@floytron5924 to my knowledge he uses the quadraverb, delays, drive, wah pedal and a volume pedal. He creates those swells by activating the wah and doing volume swells (turn volume knob on your guitar or volume pedal off than play a note and bring the volume pedal or volume knob back on), whilst having a heavy delay/reverb. This will make the illusion of an "ebow" like effect. You can see him doing that in the Life's an Ocean Pinkpop 1998 outro (it's here on KZbin). To your preference you can activate the wah pedal during those swells or leave it off. But with it on you can get that dreamy tone. Finally but not least he uses a looper (lexicon Jamman during that period) so you can hear especially the reprise version in the studio or live has sometimes multiple guitar lines or soundscapes. I hope I could help :)
