"You're only as good as you are on your worse night." Wise words from Nick. It's what keeps me practicing but don't forget to also remember the good nights. :) RIP Nick.

One thing I always loved and appreciated about Nick's playing was how musical his parts were. Sometimes it takes seeing a drum playthrough to appreciate how great drummers add so much to the song. Nick had it in spades. 🤘
@Skunginoggin3452 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the other drummers were more flashy and thrashy (and yet Menza still COULD play those parts live), but his original material with the band was so much more atmospheric and tasteful, while still sounding awesome and polished. Nick is definitely still my all-time favorite Megadeth drummer.
@brandoncrow37412 жыл бұрын
@@Skunginoggin345 absolutely! Megadeth was like "here's our third new drummer in five years, he's pretty good..." Then they release Rust In Peace. I mean, c'mon! Then they go on a seven year run of greatness that they've never topped. Nick was a huge reason for that.🤘

Nick's grooves and power made the Youthanasia album as strong and punchy as it was. Especially since it wasn't the thrashy technical stuff Megadeth were known for at the time, Nick's hard and dynamic hitting kept things heavy. Much respect and adoration to you Nick, huge influence, gone way too soon. R.i.p 🤘

Always loved Menza's drumming, especially from CTE to CW. He is not playing the drum parts that are on the album here but it's still cool to see him play that song and not some RIP material.

Yeah, but it fits well with the style of music that megadeth was going for in the 90's. Dude plays for the song and the grooves are fat
