Great video, I am about to buy shimano Technium for shockleader i need to know what the diameter is on 8 pound/8Lb? 0,26 or 0,28mm !? i Can't see it probably on the video...

So your mainline is mono? thats good because i dont want to use braid as a mainline (reel line) i just watched a video of Dean Barlow and he uses the same knot but he has braid as his reel line with mono as his shockleader. As i've never used a shockleader before does it need to be a certain length? and i'd imagine it includes hook length?

hey nick i use 0.16mm as main line. what size should shock leader be? 1mm? i cast 60g 4 hours a day.

Nick...Instead of using a figure of eight, why not tie the half blood knot to a lasso, I just tried this and was surprised by the strength, the lasso coil compresses to nothing.

Mike Bennett tried it mate....by dispersing the two knots apart there's less friction on the cast..that's why I use this knot set up
